The following comes from a Siliconera interview with Inti Creates CEO Takuya Aizu...

“Most projects involve non-disclosure agreements. Therefore, basically, we cannot exchange information between each title. All of this game (Gunvolt) is invested in and developed by Inti Creates.”

The following info comes from Azure Striker Gunvolt director Yoshihisa Tsuda...

“Actually, I can’t explain the concrete difference between Azure Striker Gunvolt and Mighty No. 9 because I haven’t heard details from the Mighty No. 9 team. Azure Striker Gunvolt’s goal is to let the player enjoy a sense of high speed and . That said, I’m also looking forward to Mighty No. 9, personally.”

Inti-Creates will be self-publishing Gunvolt in NA and Japan. It is wholly-owned by Inti-Creates, with Mighty No. 9 is owned by Comcept.

With Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars releasing tomorrow - bundled with a CD soundtrack - I thought I'd take a look at what other limited and special editions are still available for Nintendo's 3DS.

The pickings are rather slim, I'm afraid. The 3DS was never a major player in the realm of collector editions to begin with, and of those that have been released, most now command hefty premiums in the aftermarket - Bravely Default Collector's Edition and Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance: Mark of Mastery Edition among them.

But there are a number that are still available at retail, and for not-unreasonable prices. Perhaps the least notable is the Beyblade: Evolution Collector's Edition, which - license stigma aside - is the most lacking in special edition niceties. It's essentially the game bundled with a Beyblade toy, which itself is available by other means despite the "exclusive" notation on the game's packaging.

Another seemingly CE non-player is the Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! Collector's Edition. Despite the popularity of the animated series, this particular edition is still readily available for a song compared to it's earlier relation, the Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Still Our Garbage?!! Collector's Edition. In fact, the CE version of Explore the Dungeon - currently available from Amazon for $20.56 - is only pennies more than the standard edition of the game, to give you an idea. Definitely a cautionary tale of poor criticial reception and CE over-production.

But somewhere between the uber-popular and the unwanted, the insanely priced and the ultra-cheap, you'll always find the obscure collector editions everyone seems to overlook - that is, until it's too late. It's here you'll find the Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi Limited Edition from Aksys, and the Shin Megami Tensei IV Limited Edition by Atlus - two niche titles, each loaded with collectible swag, still available and still more-than-reasonably priced for gamers and game collectors alike.

So what collector editions did you miss out on? What editions were you lucky (or unlucky) enough to pick up at release? Comments always welcome! And be sure to hit the jump for today's complete rundown of Wii U, Wii, DS and 3DS game deals, including the latest pre-order offers and bonuses. Lots of great stuff to choose from today, including Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (Wii U) for $19.99 and Rayman Legends (Wii U) for $29.99 shipped!

A portion of a Nintendo Life review...

Those looking for straight-up, no-frills Texas Hold ‘Em can find it in Governor of Poker. Those looking for engaging goals and atmosphere, however, likely will not; the constant tug-of-war on the tables to build the funds to buy the next non-interactive building feels more like a chore than a real accomplishment.
