The Pokémon Company recently polled the hardcore players a it be monster-collecting franchise t' find out who's the most popular 'mon a all time. ye'd think Pikachu, right? Like, that be a totally logical assumption, considering how much exposure that little yellow bastard has received over the years. Unfortunately, ye're totally wrong -- first place went t' Arceus, a legendary Pokémon first introduced in Diamond 'n Pearl.
Fellow legendaries Darkrai 'n Deoxys came in second 'n third place, respectively, followed by Pikachu in fourth 'n Meowth in fifth. As Siliconera points out, seeing as how the polls be conducted among hardcore players, the polls probably skewed towards the more powerful lads rather than the more recognizable lads, which be not the best metric for determining popularity. Like, we be clearly the buffest lads at our high school, but we be never elected prom king, ye know?
