By which I mean it alerts you when someone posted something while you were posting. I noticed many forums have it, and thought that it would come in rather handy. What do you think? |

A new post where? A post in the topic you're posting in, the sub-forum you're in, or all over the site? Because I don't want "OMG NEW POST IN RPOT" or "OMG NEW POST IN OT" popping up almost every time I post. |

No I mean, when your posting something for a topic and press submit, if someone posts something while you were typing it in the topic, it goes "someone posted while you were typing", so you can check what they were typing before submitting it. |

Usually whenever I make a post, I always go to view the post. I do this to check whether someone else has posted. If someone has posted, and for a reason, I will go and edit my post, but that is a rare occurrence.
If you have any doubts, that anyone may have posted, while you were posting, just view the post after you post.
I do feel that this is not needed because of the reason above. |
