I'm doing research for a project about discrimination, and I ran across some stuff that... really pissed me off, truth be told. For instance. There's the guy who thinks female leaders will be the death of the world... and there's the colleges who put out scholarships for "white heterosexual males"... and... just... general dickery like that.
It's stuff like this that makes me lose my faith in the human race, a little. ._. |

I lost faith a long time ago, we've now been reduced to dickfaces who only listen what some box tells us.
Though, there are some who are still sane... and haven't completely fallen with the idiots that make up nearly the entire population. |

Well remember, I quit scouts because I was an atheist. They also want to ban homosexuals.

Okay, that pisses me off. I'm tired of the whole sexual orientation discrimination thing...why should it make a difference if a guy likes a guy, and a girl likes a girl? If that's who we truly love, then why shouldn't we be allowed to love them? We're all just people...there are more important things in life than shunning someone because they like someone of the same gender. :/ |

"The Boy Scouts of America maintains that no member can grow into the best kind of citizen without recognizing an obligation to God. In the first part of the Scout Oath or Promise the member declares, ‘On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law.’ The recognition of God as the ruling and leading power in the universe and the grateful acknowledgment of His favors and blessings are necessary to the best type of citizenship and are wholesome precepts in the education of the growing members."
The BSA believes that atheists and agnostics are not appropriate role models of the Scout Oath and Law for boys, and thus will not accept such adults as leaders.
"Boy Scouts of America believes that homosexual conduct is inconsistent with the obligations in the Scout Oath and Scout Law to be morally straight and clean in thought, word, and deed. The conduct of youth members must be in compliance with the Scout Oath and Law, and membership in Boy Scouts of America is contingent upon the willingness to accept Scouting’s values and beliefs."
It sickens me. Also, if you are going to use these, check them. I pulled these off of wiki, and I haven't checked most of the references yet. |

Remember, hating white heterosexual males is also discrimination, even though people don't seem to notice that.
"ZOMG SA IS A RACIST AND A SEXIST AND AN ANTI-RELIGION BASTARD AND A JERK TO HOMOSEXUALS BECAUSE HE'S A WHITE HETEROSEXUAL ATHEIST MALE KILL HIM WITH FIRE" = Not true. I look at who the person is, not their race, gender, or sexual orientation. Get over it, it may not be called discrimination when it's against white heterosexual males, but it still is.
Just thought I'd get that out of the way. Of course, I believe only providing scholarships to the aforementioned group is freakin' messed, and I believe in equality.

Yeah, there is plenty of discrimination in the world. There always was, and there always will be.
Quote: | "white heterosexual males"... |
Well, even though there are colleges that discriminate against those who aren't white and those who are homosexual, you must look at it both ways, instead of just one side of the story. Out of the many schools and scholarships that I've seen and researched, I've never seen such a scholarship only for whites, but I have seen plenty for people who are of a different race; some multi-racial colleges preffering other races over whites. I don't believe the arguement that "they deserve it because whites discriminated in the past" is valid, because counter-discrimination is never the way to handle a problem. And there is alot of discrimination towards whites. I believe one should be judged by their skill and talent, and not race.
Eh, that paragraph is going to piss off a few.

....darn, I've seen that comment so many times. Even if they aren't to be taken seriously or not; I hate those comments. There's plenty of good in the world, alot of it; most of the time, though, we tend to concentrate on the negative aspects of society. We've always known that discrimination exits, and it always will exist- the only way to improve the world and lessen these problems is to become positive towards eachother and society, instead of becoming cynical and pessimistic... that will only lead to more unhappiness, as pessimism such as this can be spread quickly, and probably only make problems like racism/sexism grow even more.
Eh, that paragraph is going to piss off a few, as well. XD
