Every often in a while, a newbie stumbles upon [ you ] tags and makes misconceptions. It even results in flooding and topic derailing sometimes.
I get the feeling this can unfold into a major conflict or soemthing alike, so, as to prevent that and as to mantain our patience safe from these, we need something to warn new members about the [ you ] tag right as they join the forums. A page or a pop-up that shows up at them or something.

They should read the "Sticky: If you were insulted...." topic. Though, a warning when they join or a topic in the New Users forum could be a good idea. Not everybody reads old stickies. |

But I think that it should just be put as a sticky in the new users board. I fall for it, and I felt silly to do so, but it seems like something that people just know. You know? |
