Mewtwo and Mew. Pokemon the First Movie was one of my two pinnacles for the anime (the first was when Charizard seismic tossed Magmar right into a volcano from the exosphere). Mew was adorable, Mewtwo was easy to sympathize with, both were likable and unique, both were awesome and powerful and part of the legendary trio of phychic ownage (Alakazam being the other member).
Also the fact that 1st-generation Pokemon were fresh and awesome. |

Palkia and Rayquaza.
There both dragon-types, and designed real well for what they are based off of.
Rayquaza is based the Asian lung (chinese dragon), I find them under appreciated and not as recognized as it should be.
Palkia I find well designed being based off a european dragon. Lengenday wise at least.
I like any dragon legendary really. But Dialga and Giratina just doesn't fit the bill for dragons, design wise. I have never seen or found anything on a dragon with a cone head. |

There be a difference.
Ridley is a more of a pin head, or has a crest in his skull structure to be more accurate. It is more of a protusion. Look at how it rounds off. At that, his snout is beak-shaped, so the crest fits into the his skull sturture.
Dialga's skull structure is vastly different.
His snout is blunt. His head goes up in a cylindrical shape, and rounds off into a thick cone. His fore head is longer than his snout basically. It sorta sets an imbalance within the skull stucture. Sometimes I wonder how Dialga supports his own head, and keeps it from collapsing.
