Likely stages:

All the towns, except onett, which is already a melee stage.

All eight sanctuaries. (Maybe even something that changes through them like in castle siege)

Magicant/sea of edin. (It would scroll through magicant, have the same evil enemies, get to edin sea, get attacked by krakens, and attacked by Ness's nightmare, but that's not likely.)

We should think spiritual, but the hippie theme kind of ruins that. though Pork city has homoresque of a little dog, so some songs just wouldn't fit, therefore, think spiritual places in earthbound. Maybe saturn Valley, or cave of the past? Just try to make sure the hippie battle theme still fits. I think cave of the past is great, but the hippie battle theme in emo world? Yeah right.
