I do not see blurry avatars in IE 6 or 7, or Firefox 2

If all the pixel-avatars are blurry, please post what browser and version you are using.

They're only blurry on the iPod Touch.

Ok, it appears to be just a Safari issue, since it only happens with you and on the iPod (iPod uses safari). I'll try installing Safari and see whats going on.

That's weird. The Safari thing as supposed to happen, because it blends pixels together to create a more "fluid" image.

However, Firefox isn't supposed to do that. I'm using Firefox, and it's great. Are you using Firefox 3 Beta? If you are, that may explain it.

Try Internet Explorer 7, if you continue to have the issue, it might be that Firefox doesn't work well with your computer.

But I like Safari. I'm not going to change my browser over an Avatar.

Blurry avatars also occur on Firefox 3 beta.

They can't. It's a browser issue, not anything this site can improve.
