I just saw a High Quality Scan of the latest CoroCoro Magazine article about the THIRD Sinnoh adventure - Pokémon Platinum Version. It will have the following:
- New Clothes for the Trainers (Lukas or Dawn) - Giratina will appear in Origin Form, at Spear Pillar, after Cyrus attempts to control Dialga and Palkia - Volkner gets promoted to Elite Four, quite possibly the Champion - A WiFi Version of the UnderGround thing - Dialga AND Palkia will both be obtainable AFTER you clear the game.
There might be some other stuff, but more on this as it develops. |

Well, they aren't putting out Gold & Silver for the DS, because you can already catch the Johto Starters, and then some through other methods instead of getting a separate DS game! That's why they have Mystery Dungeon and Ranger exist: So that there is less time for remakes! I mean, the DS is gonna be home to the NEXT Generation of Pokemon games! |

Maybe Volkner will be replaced by Lieutenent Surge's son, and like the old War Veteran, he too will use Raichu. |

Actually, they ARE making G/S remakes. There's hidden in-game data in D/P where you can trade with Johto. |

Basically, they remake all three Sinnoh games, then a year or two later, they remake Johto. Usually, it's two of the current generation, then an earlier generation, then back to the current. This is a strange turn of events, indeed. |

I don't get the whole "origin form" thing. Why is Giratina like that? How did it get that way? And more importantly, what happens if you catch it and want to trade it to Diamond or Pearl?
Also... even though it's official, the name doesn't fit the theme. Well, neither did Crystal in the G/S days... But still, it's weird to go from Daimond and Pearl to Platinum. D: |

Well, if you recall Deoxys from the PREVIOUS Generation, you'll get what I was talking about. In FR/LG/R/S/E, you can get the Form Changing Legendary, Deoxys through an event. For instance, if you catch it in Fire Red, you get the Attack Form Deoxys. Trade it to Leaf Green, and it changes its form to Defense Form, and to Emerald, and you get the Speed Forme Deoxys! However, if you trade it to Ruby and Sapphire, you get the Normal Form Deoxys.
Why this relates to Giratina? Simple: If you trade your Giratina from Diamond or Pearl to Platinum, you get the Origin Forme Giratina! Trade Origin Forme Giratina over to Diamond or Pearl, and you get the Normal Forme Giratina. And what happens, when you trade it over to the eventual remakes of Gold and Silver, I'm sure you'll get another New Forme to be brought up. Shapeshifting may be full of confusing concepts, with a severe lack of hot tubs, but it's not all that bad.
