I have implemented a currency system. You should have 10 coins starting out. And currently you will earn 1 coin per post, with a limit of 12 per hour.
DO NOT SPAM the board to earn coins. You will be banned.
You can also donate coins to others.
You can not have negative coins.
I hope to have some cool things to use coins for soon 
Existing members:
This is how I am going to initialize your coin count:
10 coins +
2 coins for each day you've been registered +
.5 coins per post

Oops, I think it was looking at your post count over the past 24 hours, not coins earned. I have adjusted the limit to 12 post per hour. Hopefully that is more reasonable.
Also, when a new user registers, they will start off with 10 coins (not 100). You all have 100 now because it is my gift to those who were first to the forum. So you have coins to share with new users, and to help "seed" the system.
Coins are just a fun feature. I'm sure you can make good use of them in Role-Play. And if you just feel like giving someone coins as a "thanks" for something, or as payment for some kind of service. I also am thinking about implementing other uses for coins like buying items that can do stuff to you or others on the forum. If you have ideas, let me know! |
