The USB thing sucks, I sold mine on eBay. Then got a router, works much better. |

It might be getting too hot because the inside of you computer is too hot. Try installing a second fan in there, or if your computer's tower is near the floor (as mine is), have a fan running in front of it. Not only will it delay or even prevent computer overheatings, but if the connector is plugged into a front-side USB port, the fan will cool it off as well. |

I use 2 USB extention cables, so the tower is about 3 feet away from the connector. |
