http://nintendofanalliance.com/news/rumors/michael-bay-rumored-to-bring-us-a-metroid-movie.html - This is only a rumor, but the famed director, Michael Bay (TransFormers, and others) may be bringing us a Metroid Movie. Now, don't you dare state this as true, juet yet, because this is a rumor. I mean, some game-based movies are known for ruining us. Take a look at what happened with that God-Awful Super Mario Bros movie.
Of course, the only thing that doesn't need to be made into a Live Action Movie is Pokémon! Can you imagine what would happen if a Live Action Pokémon Movie were to be made? It would alienate the whole fandom! Kids everywhere would be scarred for life, and they'd sell all their Pokémon stuff, games and all! Then Nintendo would fall prey to what I call "Yu-Gi-Oh: The Movie Syndrome," whereas Nintendo would lose even MORE money than they originally made with the movie.
OT: And as for Speed Racer, The Wachowski Brothers could've changed it into an F-Zero Movie, and we'd see a return of the Hot Wheels Streex, only the toys would look like such F-Zero Machines as the Blue Falcon, Death Anchor, Blood Hawk, Fire Stingray, and more!

Ohmygod! He was making a Live-Action Metroid movie, like, 10 years back! It went into development hell, because of the *crag* Super Mario Bros. movie, and now it's back!!!!!!!!1!!!11!! !!!
