DarkBlueAce waited till Charmander had rested up somewhat, then switched Pigdey out for Charmander. He held the end of his tail up to Metapod to slowly melt it's hardened shell.

[WIRE MAN]

"Hehehe."Zero laughed. Metapod's shell was so powerful now it would take quite a while to melt and now that Charmander got so carlessly close he could activate his plan.
"Metapod,tackle Charmander with full strength!"

[Louis]

Charmander was caught off guard and Metapod got a direct hit. Charmander struggled to get up. DarkBlueAce called Charmander back and took out Pidgey. She flew high enough to avoid Metapod. "So you were lying when you said all it could do was harden...nice underhanded tactic you used there, but I guess it's my fault for believing you..." DarkBlueAce called Pidgey over and whispered something into it's ear. The Pidgey flew towards Metapod, but swerved and headed for Zero.

[WIRE MAN]

"Well,obviously it learns tackle as a Caterpie,so-HEY!"Zero yelled. Pidgey was headed straight for him,dead on. "I don't remember this being part of the rules! Metapod try to.....it's no use! Your to far away!"

[Louis]

Pidgey stopped. She cautiously moved closer to Metapod. "Maybe I should start studying these pokemon then huh...there definitely aren't any Metapods where I'm from."

[WIRE MAN]

What's going on?Zero thought. One minute Pidgey is chargeing at me and now it's not. Still,I can't let me guard down"
"Metapod use harden one last time and get ready for anything that might come at you."

[Louis]

Pidgey stood right where it was and didn't make a move.

[WIRE MAN]

"What the..."Zero said."Well fine. If you won't make a move then I will. Metapod use tackle!"

[Louis]

Pidgey side-stepped as Metapod headed right for it's trainer.

[WIRE MAN]

Zero quickly stepped to the side to aviod Metapod. "Metapod,turn to face Pidgey."Zero commanded.
He looked at Metapod,it's shell gleaming so bright after all the times it hardened. Although Metapods don't show much emotion,he could see Metapod was tired and at it's limit. It had been training earlier in the day and didn't have enough time to fully rest. Zero didn't won't to strain Metapod,so he knew what he had to do.
"Metapod,return."Zero said,returning Metapod to it's Poke'ball."Well,that's it I guess. I lose."

[Louis]

DarkBlueAce returned Pidgey to it's pokeball. "That was quite a match. Maybe we could face the Gym Leader as a team. I have to go to the pokemon center to rest my pokemon up, I'll see you around." DarkBlueAce walked off toward the pokemon center.

[WIRE MAN]

"See ya."Zero said."Now what was I gonna do......Wait,I justremembered I gotta go to the Pokemon Center too!"
Zero quickly ran to the Pokemon Center to get Mankey and Metapod healed.

[Louis]

DarkBlueAce saw noticed Zero entering the pokemon center. "So, have you thought about if you want to face the gym leader as a team?"

[Emil]

"Team Galactic? I've heard of them. I thought they were just a bunch of petty crooks. They sometimes decide to cause trouble in our city, but my Sister usually drives them off," Jacob answered.

[WIRE MAN]

"Well..."Zero said. He knew DarkBlueAce had a disadvantage against Brock and if they teamed it would be difficult. Still,he had never team battled and always wanted to.
"Yes."He replied.
