Well, I finally got Nintendo's favored package, Wii Fit. I'm hoping with its help, I'll be able to overall improve my health (I'm VERY physically inactive with the removal of physical education from my day) through its exercises and general exercise.
I'm also hoping you'll all chuckle with me at my pathetic figure. ^^
Now, let's begin with the basic information. 14 years old, 5'8 in height, according to Wii Fit about 156 pounds. Alright...now let's get to the stuff Wii Fit can only tell me.
I am greatly dependant on my left heel for balance. 55.7% of my balance comes from my left side, while only 44.3% comes from my right. This makes me EXTREMELY unbalanced and very bad at balance games...but apparently not the Tree Pose.
My BMI is 23.86, a little lower than halfway through overweight. I can't argue with those results, really.
Anyway, I flunked the first Wii Fit balance exercise, unable to keep my balance exactly as the game would've liked five times in 30 seconds. Therefore, with all things added up, my Wii Fit age was...
28, exactly twice my current age.
Now, only the actual excercises (which are amazing, by the way). I started with Deep Breathing, followed by a Tree Pose. That was then followed by Free Run, which is the thing where you run in place in a nice background (CUTE MII DOGGIES! <3) for about three minutes. I found this to be my favorite of the arobics exercises I did, but more about that later.
I then went to strength training, where I aced Jackknifes. My abs are unusually strong, so this is no real suprise. Then I went and failed both Soccer Heading and the Tightrope Walk balance games. I have a LOT to work on in balance.
I went back to strength training after this and faced my arch nemisis: the Push-Up and Side Planks. Though there were only 6 of each (for a total of 12), they were HARD! This is definately a MUCH better teacher than my P.E. coach...
I then did some Step Arobics, where I saw that I got no rhyme an' no sense of rhythm...or a very limited sense of the two.
I went to Yoga again for a Half Crescent pose. This was suprisingly difficult (and stretched out my spine quite nicely). It was my worst Yoga exercise, but that's alright.
I finished up with some Hula Hooping, which I did suprisingly well on. 150 rotations was okay...could do a bit better...
So, after 20 minutes of work, I'm posting this blog. I'll state all activities I can remember up here, as well as what I eat and what else I do to work out through the next month. I'm hoping to drop ten pounds in about a month (a bit large of a goal, but a decent one), and have a good time doing it, with Wii Fit my base of operations. And with that, good people of digibutter, I leave you to comment.
...also, Chaos Dimentio...STOP HITTING ME WITH PANDA HEADS! THEY'RE CUTE, BUT IT REALLY HURTS! X.X |

Yeah, it's like Best Buy. Basically an anything-electronic store. They have quite a nice selection of games and accessories. ^^
And it's not a Wii Game! It's a physical training program under the Nintendo lisence that improves rapidly-declining posture and health.
Also, just a note, the male's voice is WAY to high. The female voice is nice and soothing...ahhh... |

Yes, I do feel pretty nice. ^^
I'm planning on doing one of these blogs every day for a month. Hopefully everything will be good then. |

Alright, I did a bit more exercise to round today out to a good 34 minutes of Wii Fit. Now...letsee...
3 minutes of Free Run. It was at this time I unlocked the long version of Free Run (6 minutes). In my long Free Run attempt a bit later, I outran my trainer. A dog took her place. XD
In between the two free runs, I played a game similar to Marble Madness, trying to balance marbles into holes. I got through five rounds of this, but my time ran out on the sixth.
I then did Ski Jumps, which I aced. I guess timing's one thing I'm good at...
I ended with some easy shoulder extensions, which I got 100% accuraccy on. Definately the easiest thing I've done.
So...this is my last time on Wii Fit until tomorrow. I promise. ^^ |

Wii Fit comes in at $90, since it's packaged in with the very technical Wii Balance Board (a game plus two Wii-motes in Wii Buyer's language).
Personally, I find it worth it, even if you're just tracking fitness with the scale. |

Devin wants this game. I'm not out of shape, but I don't get to exercise enough. The women's gym I attended was moved away, and I can't get outside early enough in the day to use the trampoline. |
