Yes, it's true. The first Metal Gear Solid game is going to be adapted into a novel. However, this isn't some rookie author putting the game's script in quotation marks. This will actually serve as a prequel to the first Metal Gear Solid, and add new info about the Metal Gear Universe - specifically, the opening chapters are on what exactly happened when the 3 Snakes were cloned from Big Boss. I'm looking forward to this thing, and I'm definitely buying it.

More than a novelization. It actually fixes the main story of Metal Gear Solid, giving back story on the Les Enfants Terribles project when the Snakes were cloned from Big Boss. It also says how Snake knows Big Boss is his father, and actually makes Ocelot tell Snake about fighting Big Boss in MGS3.

$30 for a LITERALLY brand new PS1 game (They actually made Sony open up a black disc PS1 factory xD), Substance (about 500 different VR missions, an alternate single player mode where you play through as Snake, and an awesome Skateboarding minigame), and Subsistance (Downloadable Camouflage patterns for Snake, an Ape Escape minigame with Snake vs. Monkey, and Demo Theatre). It's one hell of a deal, my friend.
