These games of this genre, in my opinion, really rock. games like Battletoads, Double Dragon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sailor Moon (japan only),and Streets of Rage arethe best. You use hand to hand combat, special moves, and combos. Even tekken was a Beat em' up! have you ever played a beat em' up? |

Eh, beat 'em ups. They are sort of shallow, I think; however, I do enjoy a good online one every now and then, like "Dad and Me", on Newgrounds. |

River City Ransom is one game of this genre I enjoy.
A game that I would play in this genre is Wario World. |

Wario World felt like a pseudo-beat 'em up, and in my opinion, was an excellent, excellent game (just too freakin' short).
Otherwise, the genere's alright, but just too straightforward. There's very little variety, normally, so...I tend to look the other way with most of them. |
