I guess I just adapt my playing strategy based on if there are items or not. If there aren't items, I tend to take more of an offensive strategy. If there are, I'm more defensive because I'm afraid I'll kill myself if I go berserk... |

Personally, I think of them as an annoying obstacle. I hate items so much, they get in your way. Example, you try to initiate a combo, and someone ray guns you, or uses fan on you, or beam sword you, assists/pokemon gets in your way, etc.
Final Smashes ESPECIALLY are cheap as hell :/
it gives ANYONE advantages, and its just annoying.
i always turn them off, and when i see items on wifi, i just...do what they do and spam items, or i leave the room |

I either have Items OFF, or the following Items selected: Smash Ball, Koopa Shell, Spring, Smart Bomb, and Bumper with MED frequency, lolz. |

I only use your basic items, like the containers, the Beam Sword for range, the Ray Gun for projectiles, the Gooey Bomb for Splash Damage, and the Team Healer for healing.Of course, I use Smash Balls and Assist Trophies. |
