I HATE DREAMS
If you notice that you're in a dream before you wake up, it turns horrible. Once I was dreaming(Which I don't dream anymore), and I somehow noticed that I was in a dream. When I noticed, I wanted to wake up. But I couldn't. I was trapped in the dream world. Dunno how long it was, but it was annoying. And scary. In the dream I was saying "WAKE UP ALREADY" out loud but nobody talked and then I found out I can control the whole thing. But when I found that out I woke up D=

Bout your dream, sounds fun to me.

Try reading something. If you cant read, you are In a dream, when you realize you are in a dream you can take control of the dream.

But onwards Geno's Lucid dreams are quite interesting, are you bound to that worlds rules Geno?
Yeah, I'm stuck with the laws of the dream. Like, it's almost identical to real likfe. I can't randomly sprout wings and fly.

And when you mean read... Do you mean anything? Because last night, I managed to read a menu and order food. D:

1. No, they act like it's real life.

2. Not quite sure what you mean by that. As soon as I fall asleep, the dream starts almost instantaneously, and ends when I wake up.

3. It's futuristic, but not too far ahead of our modern technology.

Why does EVERYONE Think they don't DREAM?? YOU ALWAYS DREAM DUDE.

Anyways, You should have taken advantage of your dream. You should of said ""Hey... Since I am in a dream... I'll fly!". Seriously, you can do ANYTHING you WANT in a dream once you know it's a dream. You could of made tons of girlfriends and of course, You could of had tons of smecks.

Anyways, I was the closest til' a Lucid dream like a month ago. I had a dream I killed my brother, and I kept saying to my self. "This HAS to be a dream!" I tried to wake myself up, but it seamed so real.. If only I believed myself and knew it was a dream! I would of had a Lucid dream for once!

Well its all a matter of left vs right brain functions. Left brain (logic) is reading while the Right brain (creativity) is responsible for dreams, so in fact you were not reading but your right brain gave the illusion that you were.

however I have heard something somewhere that lucid dreams involve both the left and right sides of the brain. so possibly because you are already part of a lucid dream you can read? Also this would be a fine explanation of you being bound to the laws of the dream.

Is this always applicable? If so, I think I'll keep this in mind the next time I dream...

Typically, when I dream, I don't have much control over it. One of the worst dreams I ever had was a few months back.

I was in this mansion that we got, for whatever reason (et tu, Luigi's Mansion?). Best I can remember it was made out of a lot of shells, and was underwater (don't ask why, it just was). I eventually made my way through what was likely a library.

Of course, there were volumes and volumes of books, but there was one that caught my attention: a Guest Registrar. There was a pen chained to the desk nearby. I was about to sign my name, but something stopped me. Something about that book just didn't feel right, like it'd steal my soul if I signed it. So I put it back down. Suddenly, the pen started floating towards the book! It was going to sign my name whether I wanted it to or not!

I slammed the book shut, dashed out of the library and slammed the door behind me. The whole place started shaking (I think; details start getting a little fuzzy here), and a voice seemed to say "DO YOU GIVE UP?" I shouted "YES!" back in answer. After that, the dream ended (thank heavens; I had just about enough of that crazy acid trip).

It's pretty common for me to have psychic visions of the future. I'll be out doing my thing, usually, then when a certain scene comes around, I just stop and go, "whoa, freaky." I have no idea how this works. Shocked Anyone else ever experience this?

I meant how much time passes in the dream world between when you wake up in real life and fall asleep again. Kinda like Narnia: A few years on earth is several hundred years in Narnia.

Not true. The dream begins about 90 minutes into sleep.

I've had times where I'm dozing off, and I've started dreaming before.

All I know is that rapid eye movement (REM), the state in which you dream, doesn't begin until 1 1/2 to 2 hours after falling asleep, but whatever. Just making sure you have your facts straight.

Right. I'm aware of REM sleep and the like, but I know that I've dreamed while dozing off slightly.

Yes, indeed, indeed.

They weren't in-depth or anything, they were more like quick scenes or sounds.
