I often wish I had the willpower to become all-out anorexic, because that's probably the only way I could attain normal size, and actually feel safe walking around, and not like someone is going to randomly walk up to me, moo at me, call me fatass, and push me onto the ground. | And you know why this sort of thing happens? Because jackasses need a rude way to relieve the human lust of feeling better than somebody else. |

Being a rather large guy myself, I understand that overweightness can a frustrating ordeal. What people must decide is how can learn from this. I have learned to use my body shape and weight to make myself into a better person. I grew comfortable with my size, and learned to deal with. Sure, big bellies and being something out of shape will get in the way at times, but that won't stop you from doin' things. ya love doin' whether it contributes to your girth, or not. |

Last year I used to make fun of this one fat kid. I regret doing that. I learned that they too are people with feelings. I think of them like any other people, I respect their lifestyle choice. And besides, some fat people are cool. You really don't want to mess with some fat people. You never know, they could be really strong. hiss... |

Well, I think Its bad, But not as bad as sexism or racists. It's kinda like... I guess it's because.. They are Unfit and its like their fault. It's still wrong, but not such a bad thing. |

And this is the type of mentality that needs to stop. You have no idea how hard I work to stay this thin. Yes, it's a lot fatter than most people, but due to my genes, it's extremely thin for me and my family. You have no idea WHY someone is fat. You can't pin it as "their fault." |

Heh. If I didn't look past your exterior, I really wouldn't be your friend, would I?
I hate people that look down on fat people. Or people that exaggerate other's size. The latter insults others. How do I know? Well, it's really a long story. A real big grudge between me and this Chinese kid. But Chinese guys are like brethren to me...
[/rerails] disrespect to fat people is blasphemy. I mean, the insultees, shall we call them, really wouldn't like it if they were labeled with a bad name just because of something as trivial as weight, race etc.
I concur that it's completely and unnecessary(sp?). |

And you know what the biggest problem is?
We're all here, saying we do not prejudice fat people, in a bliss agreement. But do you know many people that bully fat people would actually agree with us?
Many times, fat prejudice is made without notice, or ocasionally when it comes to fighting (e.g. Mentioning someone's fatness if said person mentions a much more important flaw at the speaker). |

Now of course, this doesn't apply to people who are overweight because of a legitimate disorder, but if a person is simply overweight because of their eating habits, they either need to be happy with their current state or adopt a healthier lifestyle. |
This. |
This.
Unfortunately, I have a disorder... | *crag* distorters...
I am not that fat, but I'm okay with it.
I guess it was just destined to happen. ^_^ |

Fat people are just visually unattractive so don't expect to be treated as socially equal as everyone else. |

I believe that it is very wrong to discriminate against a person who is overweight or obese. As our society is today with racism, sexism, etc, weight is now being discriminated. Why make fun of someone if they eat more than others? I've seen it quite a lot in the media, and they have influence people to go from overweight to anorexic. It's just sad for me to say, that people make fun of overweight people, because it makes them feel better about themselves. They feel that they are more important in the society than the overweight person.
If the world and it's people could help the overweight people, then we wouldn’t have this type of discrimination. If the people could show the benefits of exercising and eating right in a positive way, then I’m sure that people who were overweight would cooperate instead of eating more or eating nothing because they were made fun of. Our generation has the highest obese rate in the history. It is up to us, to reduce it, and help the overweight people. If we can all unite, and do something about this issue, then I’m sure that our country would have less prejudice against overweight people. |

Have you watched TV lately?
Overweight people are surrounded by weight-loss products, Gyms, and healthy food at their convenience.
And Hell, who's fault is it that they're fat in the first place? Themselves of course. |
