Opening (Super Smash Bros. Melee): 3

Well, folks, here we are: the beginning of the end!
All that remains are four days of quarterfinals, two days of semifinals, and the grand finale, after which the final winner will be announced.
First, though, let's take a look at the contestants for the first day of quarterfinals:
From the MARIO series: Castle / Boss Fortress (Super Mario World / SMB 3)
From the DONKEY KONG series: Bramble Blast
From the FIRE EMBLEM series: Attack
From the YOSHI series: Obstacle Course
From the METAL GEAR series: Encounter
One of these five songs will move onto the semifinals, and possibly onto the finals, as well.
The rest, though, are by no means bad; it's impressive that they managed to get here in the first place!

Overrated Bramble Blast is prolly winning anyway, but I'll let my vote for Castle/Boss Fortress clear. Obstacle Course and Encounter are great too, but not as great. |
