Almost every Digibutter member at the time remembers these usergroups. Francis removed them because there weren't actually any real conflicts with the groups; just a sort of cold war.

However, one of Mister I's posts gave me an idea that would give the usergroups an actual purpose.

At any given time, along with Tippi, there will be a flag for one of the four usergroups on the top banner, representing which usergroup is currently "on top", so to speak. In order to determine which one is on top, Francis (or, if he doesn't have the time, someone else) can come up with a series of contests that members of each usergroup can compete in (such as Brawl or MKWii tournaments, and maybe even some other, more forum-oriented things). This would promote some actual competition among the usergroups.

I'm not sure what we should do about them being user-controlled or not. While, obviously, I would like to be in charge of N.I.N.J.A. again, I can see how having something like that might be a bit problematic. I'll leave it to you guys to decide on what we should do about that.

There's one thing I think should definitely be changed, though: the system of joining the usergroup. You shouldn't have to wait for approval of the leader before you can go there. Instead, as soon as you choose to join it, you should be able to. In addition, unlike last time, you should only be able to be a part of one usergroup at a time - once again, to encourage competition.

I'm sure there's more to be said on the subject, but I'll leave it off here.

If we were to start this back up, I would so be the head of P.Y.R.O. or F.I.R.E. Perhaps Francis could approve of new group through some process to make sure it wasn't flooded with groups. <.<

Even if there was only the original four, I would support this.

Guys, stop it.

Focus on bringing back the old usergroups first, THEN you can try to create new ones.

This is why I'm hesitant about user-led usergroups: everybody will want their own.

Yeah, I think usergroups would be fun with stuff planned. Of course that would have to be all up to the leader and stuff, so maybe more than one leader for a group so that more ideas can flow?
