I swear. I replayed this today, and I was literally laughing at how overly-dramatic and cheesy the cutscenes were. SAY, I HAD NO IDEA SNAKE WAS IN THE MATRIX
Compare this to MGS2... Wow. I am so glad Kojima didn't do this shit in MGS3.
I thought Twin Snakes was basically an exact port? Was that scene not in MGS2?
Twin Snakes is a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid. :p And no, it's not an exact port, quite a few things were changed and the cutscenes were totally redone.

Twin Snakes is a remake of MGS1, with the MGS2 Engine and "redone" cutscenes. Kojima hired a film director who was actually known for his OVERUSE of the bullet time effect to direct the cutscenes, which resulted in the Snake's Revenge-esque fail that Twin Snakes really is.
Not to mention, the boss fights with Mantis, Ocelot, and even the torture scene were ruined.

Doh!, for some reason I thought MGS1 was the one for NES The "Twin" makes me think sequel. Yes, I remember now, everyone thought MGS2 was a big dissapointment.

MGS2 wasn't a disappointment, it actually was really good. The port to the Xbox was the disappointment, with less Casting Theater and Boss Survival modes, as well as the loss of the Skateboarding mini game on the Big Shell.

Despite being a remake, it lacked Snake's use of the phrase "Kept you waiting, huh?" It would've done a good thing in the beginning.
Yeah, but the beginning was the least butchered of all of the game anyway.

MGS2 was a great game. Not everyone hates it. The only reason why people complain is because you have to play as Raiden. Playing as him wasn't that bad, but it's better to play as Snake.
