Yeah, but still >_>. Maybe go a tad in-depth about his programming or something?

There's a reason for all this...all of the characters will be making rather large cameos in something (I'll post a link to it when I make it).

(I'm going to be lazy and update this later when I don't feel as sick (Yes, I'm sick(Yay parentheses =D)))

Name: Versu (Yay originality! [/sarcasm])

Race: N'kren

Allegiances: No one

Backstory: Versu is an outcast N'kren. He had acted too violent for the likes of them, as the N'kren are normally pacifists. He was banished from the planet for his actions, but he managed to seek refuge on a seemingly deserted planet. Ever since then, he has regretted his actions, and has been hoping he could redeem himself. He went back to the planet so he could do so, but they would not allow it.(WILL BE CONTINUED!)

Appearance: Like all other N'kren, Versu is a catlike humanoid. (I have my sources >_>) He is appx. 5 feet tall with dark red fur color. (WILL BE CONTINUED!)

Technology: The N'kren's main weakness is their intolerance for armor and weaponry. >_>

THIS WILL BE EDITED WHEN I DON'T FEEL SICK ANYMORE!

Name: Jetin
Race: Human
Allegiances: Galactic Federation
Backstory: Jetin was born on the human's home planet, Earth. He had a decent upbringing, although he only caught brief glimpses of races other than his own. At the age of sixteen, however, he had the distinct honor of meeting one of the Chozo, a greatly respected race in the galaxy. The Chozo made a brief mention of a human who had been raised by their kind, one who had recently become a bounty hunter. Two years after that, he was drafted into the Galactic Federation army to combat the Space Pirates.

The war was a futile attempt, made even more so by a deadly weapon the Space Pirates had seized: a creature named the "Metroid". Jetin had an unpleasant encounter with one of these creatures, which can still be seen from the fang marks on his face. If it hadn't been distracted by a huge explosion nearby, Jetin would have been done for. After the Space Pirates were halted by a certain bounty hunter, Jetin quickly resigned. Inspired by the said bounty hunter, someone named Samus Aran, Jetin became one himself.
Appearance: Jetin has light red hair that goes down to the back of his neck. It is a sharp contrast to his ice blue eyes, which, when looked closely at, betray a young man who loves life and living. There are two scars on either side of his face from where a Metroid attacked him.
Technology: Jetin owns a space bike, which he uses to ride through the galaxy. The bike is similar to a motorcycle...except, y'know, more spacey. The bike, like most ships in this time period, can enter hyperspace, although it is notably more dangerous than with a normal ship. He also owns standard Galactic Federation weapons and spacesuits, with a few modifications of his own. Lastly, he carries a certain artificial energy source for his own body, due to the energy loss he suffered from the Metroid attack...

(I only have one paragraph for backstory. Sorry.)

Name: Ocelot Unit
Race: Human
Allegiances: GRU
Backstory: The Ocelot Unit (also known as the Ocelot Unit of Spetsnaz) is a well-known mercenary unit originally (but no longer) commanded by Major Ocelot. Their uniform is recognizable by the balaclava and the red beret they wear. They are truly professional soldiers, working in perfect harmony. They are the greatest the GRU has ever had. They broke off from Spetsnaz after Major Ocelot left the unit.
Appearance: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h285/Captainblue49/ocelotunit.jpg
Technology: They use the following weapons on their missions. They also have life medicine and medical equipment for emergencies. http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h285/Captainblue49/?action=view&current=pgm_ur.jpg http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h285/Captainblue49/?action=view&current=pb-1.jpg http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h285/Captainblue49/?action=view&current=m16a1.jpg http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h285/Captainblue49/?action=view&current=knife.jpg http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h285/Captainblue49/?action=view&current=ruger_superblackhawk.jpg http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h285/Captainblue49/?action=view&current=smokegrenade.jpg http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h285/Captainblue49/?action=view&current=protecta.jpg

Again, I'm sorry I only have one paragraph for backstory, but there isn't much to the Ocelot Unit.

What's "GRU"? There's a reason for all these questions...as I said, they will be making a pretty big cameo in something, so I need to know as much as possible.

GRU is the English transliteration of the Russian acronym ГРУ, which stands for "Гла́вное Разве́дывательное Управле́ние" (Glavnoje Razvedyvatel'noje Upravlenije), meaning Main Intelligence Directorate. The full name is GRU GSh (GRU Generalnovo Shtaba (or "GenShtaba"), i.e. "GRU of the General Staff").

The GRU is Russia's largest intelligence agency. It deploys six times as many agents in foreign countries as the SVR which is the KGB intelligence successor. It also commanded 25,000 spetsnaz troops in 1997.

The current GRU Director is General Valentin Vladimirovich Korabelnikov.

History
The GRU was created in 1918 by Lenin, and given the task of handling all military intelligence. It operated residencies all over the world, along with the SIGINT (signals intelligence) station, in Lourdes, Cuba (22.995° N 82.464° W), and throughout the former Soviet bloc countries, especially in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

The GRU was well-known in the Soviet government for its fierce independence from rival power blocs, even the CPSU and KGB. At the time of the GRU's creation, Lenin infuriated the Cheka (predecessor of the KGB) by ordering it not to interfere with the GRU's operations. Nonetheless, the Cheka infiltrated the GRU in 1919. This planted the seed for a fierce rivalry between the two agencies, which were both engaged in espionage, and was even more intense than the rivalry between the FBI and CIA in America at that time.

The existence of the GRU was not publicized during the Soviet era. It became widely known in Russia, and the West outside the narrow confines of the intelligence community, during perestroika, in part thanks to the writings of "Viktor Suvorov" (Vladimir Rezun), a GRU agent who defected to Britain in 1978, and wrote about his experiences in the Soviet military and intelligence services. According to Suvorov, even the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union couldn't enter GRU headquarters without going through a security screening.

The GRU is still a very important part of the Russian Federation's intelligence services, especially since it was never split up like the KGB was. The KGB was dissolved after aiding a failed coup in 1991 against the then Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. It has since been divided into the SVR (Foreign Intelligence Service) and the FSB (Federal Security Service).

Activities
According to the Federation of American Scientists: "...Though sometimes compared to the US Defense Intelligence Agency, [the GRU's] activities encompass those performed by nearly all joint US military intelligence agencies as well as other national US organizations. The GRU gathers human intelligence through military attaches and foreign agents. It also maintains significant signals intelligence and imagery reconnaissance and satellite imagery capabilities." GRU Space Intelligence Directorate had put more than 130 SIGINT satellites into orbit. GRU and KGB SIGINT network employed about 350,000 specialists.

According to GRU defector Stanislav Lunev, "Though most Americans do not realize it, America is penetrated by Russian military intelligence to the extent that arms caches lie in wait for use by Russian special forces". He also described a possibility that compact tactical nuclear weapons known as "suitcase bombs" are hidden in the US and noted that "the most sensitive activity of the GRU is gathering intelligence on American leaders, and there is only one purpose for this intelligence: targeting information for spetsnaz (special forces) assassination squads [in the event of war]". The American leaders will be easily assassinated using the "suitcase bombs", according to Lunev. GRU is "one of the primary instructors of terrorists worldwide" according to Lunev Terrorist Shamil Basayev reportedly worked for this organization.

During the 2006 Georgian-Russian espionage controversy several officers (allegedly working for GRU) were accused by the Georgian authorities of preparations to commit sabotage and terrorist acts. GRU detachments from Chechnya were transferred to Lebanon independently of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon after the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict "to improve Russia’s image in the Arab world", according to Sergei Ivanov. Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev was assassinated by two GRU officers. GRU officers have also been accused of creating criminal death squads

Miscellaneous

Chechnya
Dmitry Kozak and Vladislav Surkov from the current Putin administration reportedly served in GRU. Two Chechen former warlords Said-Magomed Kakiev and Sulim Yamadayev are commanders of "West" and "East" battalions that are controlled by GRU (each battalion includes close to a thousand fighters).

Baranov
In 2002, Bill Powell wrote Treason, an account of the experiences of former GRU colonel Vyacheslav Baranov. Baranov had been recruited by the CIA and agreed to spy for them, but was betrayed to the Russians by a mole in either the FBI or the CIA and spent five years in prison before being released. The identity of the mole remains unknown to this day, although speculation has mounted that it could have been Robert Hanssen.
