I used to, but now I've realized how awesome it is. It's graphics are amazing, it's better than a 360, and what many people don't realize is that the with the ps3, we can have a whole new era of gaming. Physics systems can be upgraded without lag, large crowds can be made into 3-D Models instead of cardboard cutouts, grass can be fully rendered, a detailed explosion won't require a loading screen...
Whereas on the Wii, you'll never get a good port. No PS3 game can be ported to the wii without half of the objects being changed from 3-D renders to 2-D sprites. Xbox 360 games will rarely be ported due to the graphics being much lower quality, the wii not having the processing power of a 360, and the wii having totally different controls. Every game the Wii will get that the 360 or ps3 will get will be heavily downgraded and modified.
The Wii has it's own glory, but that is mostly for non-serious gamers who plan to spend the rest of their lives playing nothing but Super Mario [INSERT NAME HERE]. If anyone here is a SERIOUS gamer, they'll go for a 360 or a ps3... and if they really want to play good games, such as Killzone 2, they'll get a ps3. |

Absolutely no games on that console interest me. I buy consoles for their games. If a game comes out that I want to play, I will buy the console necessary to play it. |

Many people don't understand the PS3, just like many people don't understand the Wii. The PS3 has it's purpose, but it is not a "new era of gaming".
All of your examples involve graphics. Does having fully rendered grass really take us into a new era of gaming??? It may have high-res textures and more polygons, but it still looks like a video game. Most of the power goes to displaying a High Definition resolution and not new gameplay. And loading screens are still a problem. And most games are just graphical upgrades to last-gen games. Killzone 2 is a good example of the same-stuff-but-better-graphics. It is a sci-fi FPS that is said to provide a "cinematic gameplay experience". How many times have we heard that before? Personally I am sick of FPSes and it's painful to have to play them with a gamepad. I want to point and shoot, which can only be done with a mouse or a Wii Remote.
Don't get me wrong, I now own both a Wii and PS3. The PS3 is an amazing media machine and has some real gaming gems. There is nothing more beautiful than a 2D game in 1080p High Definition. And the PS3 is the place to be if you like racing games. And the PS3 has a great future of new ideas (like Home). Overall, it is a great combination of the best of a traditional console and a PC.
But the Wii is something else. It's games are totally dedicated to have fun, right now, and not after a long loading screen or installing to the hard-drive. Games that are fun with the real-life person sitting next to you. Games like Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Sunshine, Wii Sports, and WiiWare titles that do not and can not exist on PS3 or Xbox. Mainly because of the capabilities of the Wii Remote and Nintendo franchises. I consider anyone who plays Wii everyday a "gamer", even if they have never played a FPS before. |

I feel the exact same way on that one. It also seems to me that most of the time whenever a hyped ps3 game comes out that they flop? |

No, but seriously, I don't hate the PS3 at all. I love all systems. I have All systems but the PS3. Is this because I hate it? Nah, it's because it didn't have allot of good games when it first came out. Now it does. And now I want one. But now look at YOU. Apparently you think that the Wii is "not serious". Whatever that means, it was a cheap blow. Of course the Wii was known for having a great audiance for the casual gamers, but saying that it's not serious at all? OK, well, you didn't say that, but you said "If you are a Serious Gamer, get 360 or PS3".. And then you go off and blatantly making fun of Super Mario. You can find good games on all systems pal, not just the PS3. The 360 has Halo 3. It's a great game. It has Gears of War. It's a great game. The Wii has Super Smash Bros. Brawl, It's a great game... Well, yeah, you get my point. They all have great games and that's why I (soon) own them all. No need to hate the Wii my fellow friend. Ever heard of No More Heroes? I don't think that will be that amusing to casual gamers.
So, basically there all good systems, so don't make a topic saying "Why does everyone hate the PS3?" because then people will ask you, "I don't hate it, WHY DO YOU HATE THE WII?".

I'm not disrespecting the wii, I own one and enjoy it.
And honestly, the ps3 can run much more complicated games. Call me a star wars fan, but this game excites me:

Of course it will be for the 360 too... and somehow on the DS (though I doubt the DS can handle all three of those systems running at once)
