Lets discuss the Kingdom Hearts series, particularly 1 and 2.
What do you think of this series?
Personally, I love the engine they used for battles. It feels like an RPG and an action game at the same time, and both genre are my favorite. The boss battles are also very fun IMO. Some bosses you have to do some special command to do damage.
As for the storyline, I think its cool that you have to go to other Disney world's and the story there is similar to the movie (except for some). I loved some Disney movies like Lion King and its just awesome to explore that world, like the Lion King's world. Its feels like your in the actual movie. I just wished they added more Disney worlds so it could've been more amazing. The storyline itself is really great. I think my favorite character has to be King Mickey. :3
Overall I love this series but personally its not better than Final Fantasy.
What do you think of Kingdom Hearts? A good game?

The KH series is great and all, but it has yet to produce a masterpiece.

When comparing the two primary titles in the series, each has their good aspects and flaws; KH 1 probably had a better overall plot, whereas KH II stretched it a bit (The whole Ansem thing.) Then again, KH II made great improvements on the choice of Disney worlds and space combat; I don't believe it improved much on the overall combat, though (As it still could fall to nothing but hacking and slashing.)

After playing Crisis Core for the PSP a bit, though, I believe that KH III's combat definitely could improve, if it's more similar to that than the simplicity that the series currently has.

I see it as a great series, but nothing excellent.

KH is *crag* better than Final Fantasy because it doesn't praddle on with the story and complete suck all enjoyment from the game. It's not all *crag* emo and up it's own ass with morals no one gets anyway. Kingdom Hearts is straight and too the point with a complete Black and White way of story telling that is helped tremedously by the cast of Disney characters and keeps the game interesting yet quick and action packed.

Also the battle system doesn't make me want to kill myself every time I die without saving like turn-based RPGs.

FF + Disney + Other stuff = the only game on a Sony system that I liked.

Kingdom Hearts is a good series overall. I did not like the card-system used in Chain of Memories or the fact that Atlantica returned as a *crag* musical in II, but the games are good and I am highly looking forward to III. The day it comes out, I will probably be one of those crazed fangirls that hog the TV all day just so they can watch the cut-scenes and see what fun places and familiar faces there will be.

I still *crag* hate Atlantica. I wanted EXP, not Finny Fun.

Oh yeah I forgot to add, KHIII won't have Sora as the main character and its for PSP, and its not called KHIII D:

I don't know why, but I just find Final Fantasy XII better than KHII. I honestly think its the plot in FFXII, and personally, KH1 had a better plot than II

Plot was good, but it's a to-core button masher.

That's not KHIII. It's a spin-off. The DS is also getting a spin off, and so are mobile phones for some reason.

KHIII is a PS3 title.

The DS is getting 358/2 Days (Pronounced 'Three Five Eight Over Two Days') which will allow you to play as Org XIII members. Did you know there are 14 members?

Um... it just is.

I don't need a source because I heard it mentioned on the Tokyo Game Show.

Birth By Sleep and 358/2 Days are both the spin-offs for handhelds. Can't wait for them to come out.

M'kay, I'll take your word for it. But Birth by Sleep is the one that I should wait for :>
back on topic...Both KH I and II are also pretty long, and it does get more interesting as you progress through the game. Although some challenges in the game are just so...hard.
Like the battle with the Organization member with the Guitar (forgot name), he was a pain to kill DX I just wish they could've made that battle a little simplier.

I never finished either KH game. D:

My brother LOST the memory card with the first one's data, and I was at the end of the game.

And I'm stuck at the Organization XIII member at Beast's Castle. Can't remember which one it is... but I can't beat him at all, even if Mickey comes into play.

I only played the first KH, and I thought it was ok, but I didn't really like it enough to be interested in the sequel.
And I really only wanted to play it because I have a huge (metaphorical) hard-on for Disney.

I think that's everyone's reason.
I played it because I heard it was good, but I also love some Disney movies, like Lion King and Mulan. Oh god Best Disney Movies ever

Oh yeah, I also liked the Mickey Mouse series, and Mickey was always one of my favorite cartoon character
