First it's Wiimote and now Miis??? I hope to God this is just a rumor. Although, it would be neat for 3D Animated Avatars on Xbox Live, since, well, Wii doesn't put much USE to Miis. Since (by studies and popular demand) Xbox Live is the best online you can get (too bad you have to pay for it) Microsoft would put it to better use I suppose. But still, with all that money Bill Gates has, he should at least consider buying some IDEAS.

Well, I wouldn't say that Nintendo invented the 3D avatar, but they did introduce it to consoles. Sony is doing the same with Home, and it only makes sense for Microsoft to join the party (although Microsoft's avatars look more like Miis than Sony's does). The real question is if Microsoft will build a virtual world to compete with Home. It doesn't look like Nintendo is going in that direction at all (except for maybe in an Animal Crossing Wii MMO) |

As long as we can still use regular gamerpics, I'm fine. If we don't, I want my freakin' 100 MS points for that Psychonauts picture pack I bought. |

No, Francis, You can put your own picture if you have a Microsoft Camera thingy, or you can pick a picture that Microsoft gives you for free. Only some avatars are buyable.
Speaking of Microsoft charging you for avatars... I bet they'll charge you money for different facial features! Have a gouty in real life and want it on your avatar? 5 bucks. |

Most of them are free. Actually putting in the credit card information and paying money for an avatar is stupid, but hey, what else was I gonna use that 100 points for? |

Im talking about company history as a whole. They took the idea of using a mouse from Apple, remember? They decided to make a video game system after which in itself is unoriginal. They created the Zune to compete with the iPod. Ah, dont even get me started with their metaverse project to compete with Second Life. They should start something new instead of jumping on cash cows.
