MGS4 is being claimed as being the greatest thing ever. Well, the greatest thing ever for MGS fans. I have my doubts, although I really havn't give the series a chance. MGS games feel like 75% cheesy cutscense and 25% OK gameplay, and I dont think MGS4 will be any different.

Although I will withhold any opinion until I actually play it, I think that I will agree with them. I think if we really examined many of our favorite series' games, we would realize that they arn't as good as we want them to be and pretend that they are. Thoughts? |

I've never played a MGS game myself, but it does seem that there are quite a few cheesey cutscenes. The gameplay's not really been noted at all, either. Now that I think about it, I don't really see that this game could be any good. |

MGS was always littered with boring cutscenes, but if this has MORE CUTSCENES than the others... oh lawd, I don't want it at ALL. |

The reason you think it's 75% cheesy cutscenes is because you've only played Twin Snakes, with the worst cutscenes out of any MGS game. The Cutscenes and story are actually what got me hooked on the series, versus the usually unfinished and bland storyline of other action games. |

This one is worth it for the multiplayer alone. Trust me.
Not to mention you can now basically gun your way through the single player. |

Until I get my Solar Gun, Race Gun, Patriot, Rail Gun, and every possible upgrade for the M4 SOPMOD, I'm gonna go for the classic stealth approach. :> |
