Har am taking over for CFH today, and since it's 3:00 AM where I live and I probably won't be on early, I'll make this topic right now. Inb4twytch if you can, cause today we're discussing the legendary mercenary himself.
1st June - Mario 2nd June - Donkey Kong 3rd June - Link 4th June - Samus Aran 5th June - Kirby 6th June - Fox McCloud 7th June - Pikachu 8th June - Marth 9th June - Mr. Game & Watch 10th June - Luigi 11th June - Diddy Kong 12th June - Princess Zelda and Sheik 13th June - Pit 14th June - Meta Knight 15th June - Falco Lombardi 16th June - Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard and Pokémon Trainer overall 17th June - Ike 18th June - Solid Snake 19th June - Princess Peach 20th June - Yoshi 21st June - Ganondorf 22nd June - Ice Climbers 23rd June - King Dedede 24th June - Wolf O'Donnel 25th June - Lucario 26th June - Ness 27th June - Sonic the Hedgehog 28th June - Bowser 29th June - Wario 30th June - Toon Link 1st July - Robotic Operating Buddy 2nd July - Captain Olimar and Pikmin 3rd July - Captain Falcon 4th July - Jigglypuff 5th July - Lucas
I used to main Snake, though I haven't played as him recently, so I'll leave this one to you guys. What's your opinion on Snake in Brawl? Was this a good move by Sakurai and Kojima? Would you have preferred Snake to use firearms instead of explosives? If you main the soldier, what do you like about him? What do you not like? Should there have been more Metal Gear representation? Discuss. |

And in the end, I actually managed to get on the computer. Well, thanks for the very early poll. XD
Well, let's go. It sure was a great move; personally, I was barely aware of the existance of MGS before, but Snake's Brawl appearance brings up a good display of how the series should be like. Except it lacked firearms, which as I read, weren't in because they thought this sort of weapon would be too dirty for a [T] game. I used to main Snake and I use him every so often, and I'll tell you, what I most like about him is that he has a moveset that is ready for all sorts of situation. You don't even get fully helpless after using the Cypher so I can even use it as a defensive measure, too. |

IMO Snake is one of the best character in the game (Last time I checked, there are DOZENS of Snake pros) He has many potentials including STRONG projectiles, immense power, and the ability to plant two types of mines. He is really strong both long and close range. |

Snake is a pretty good character. Strong smashes and interseting projectile smashes and spiecal attack. The NIKITA (poor memory) is one of my personal favorite moves to finish off my opponets. The down-side is the projectile. One well-place Gardvoir, Franklin badge, reflector shield, or Psi-magnet, and those moves become almost useless, tnen again, if you play by tourney rules, the Starfox character will be the only problem. Overall, a great addition to smash. |

Snake in Brawl is what challenged me getting a PS3 instead of a Wii early on. I love playing as him, not just because he's from my favorite series, but because he's one of the characters I'm actually good at. His explosives are awesome, and I'd rather he had a grenade strapped to every part of his body and pulled the pin for an attack instead of being like Fox and having a blaster/gun for ranged. Using his C4 as a recovery move in order to use the Cypher again after letting go is one of my favorite tactics as the Inferior clone of the Les Enfants Terribles.
Overall, I'm glad he's in. At least now I can kick Mario's ass as him. |

Oh lawdy, he's slow. And he relies on tools and B moves, which I'm not good with... I'm good AGAINST Snakes, though. |

He is ok. Although most of his moves are great for plain out attacking, he is a great tactical character. |

I'm okay with him, it's just that I don't like his attacks. Too indirect for me, really. |

He's a pretty decent character IMO. If his moves weren't so damn indirect and slow I might've actually mained him or secondaried him. |
