Cold winds echoed across the halls. The place was deserted, a ghost town, so to speak. The building smelled like death, like a thousand dreams silenced and held prisoner by the chains of the afterlife. Strange creatures of the abyss stalked the corridoors in search of a victim to prey upon. It was a grim place, especially for those who knew its history.
The academy was not always the wasteland I now see, but a busy, bustling place full of youthful ambition and cheery demeanor.
I can recall the smiling faces... The very thought reminds me I have lost more than happy memories at the academy, I've lost my own will for peace... |
