Because Yoshi's Island (the game) is much older than Super Mario Sunshine.

It was a basic question that, while not directed at anybody else, was one I wanted to answer, because I believe Yoshi's Island isn't a better stage, but a better game from which the stage was based on.
I have just as much right to reply as you have to post it in the first place.
And besides that, you didn't say anything about what I said. :/ |

This poll makes no sense. I thought Delfino Plaza should've won, which it actually did, but, well, y'know. I loved Sunshine and touring Delfino Plaza with my favorite Nintendo characters is pretty fun. |
