If you though Ike is cheap, remember, Dedede KO's at 50%. I'm not sayinghe is overpowered, but it's a fun mention.

Anyway, question time. Do you believe King Dedede, from all characters possible, was worth his position? Where do you see his strong points? Do you see a way to actually use that crappy Final Smash? Was he worth his quite important rolein SSE?

Dedede can KO at 17% when fully charged his Fsmash. o.o
He's the best chaingrabber, very powerful, can suicide kill, is floaty in air, good speed, big, and is a big fat penguin that wields a giant hammer. What more could you ask for?

As a character:Dedede is a needed addition.
Mario Got Bowser, Link got Ganondorf, Pika got Mewtwo/Lucario, and now Kirby gets Dedede.
He's chock full of fat and nostalgia, which makes him interesting to play as.
His moveset is solid and fits well, although the Down B could be better.

Dedede in SSE:His role was reminiscent of his role in Kirby's Adventure, in that he seemed like a villan, but had everyone's best interests in mind.
They even got Mount Dedede from Kirby's Dreamland in there, complete with greyscale feel.

I love Dedede. He's really strong, and even though his run is slow, if you can control his jumps and up-B well, he can be quite speedy. Also, despite what others may think, I believe his projectile is awesome.

Well IMO Dedede is the fatass of brawl, sure he can KO people easily and his insanely awesome but his attacks and movement are entirely to slow. But I guess if you made him any faster he would end up being like Ike.

Dedede is truly a powerful and handy smasher.

He has a move-pool of varied uses and effects. Some of his moves can even combo on the opponents.

Even if his movements are somewhat slow on the ground, a good timing make this not all that bad. I could knock out 3 opponents at once while playing Online with his Side Smash. His side smash may be his slowest move, but for one it is really effective, and for two his other smashes are quite fast.

Dedede's midair attacks are also pretty effective and start almost instantly. There might be ending lag, but it's not too much of a deal.

Dedede is quite special: for a heavyweight fighter, he has multiple jumps that combined could reach heights comparable to Mario's jumps. The jumps are still not quite effective for recovery, and caution is needed while using the Super Dedede Jump, especially when planned to grab on a ledge.

I think Dedede is best used on stages like Onett, where the ground goes all across the stage.

King Dedede, depending on the day, is my second or third best character (sometimes I'm better with Dedede, sometimes with Mr. Game & Watch, but no one beats The Kong).

Dedede has been itching to get into Smash Bros since the original. He's far more important than half of the other characters in Brawl, is the main villan in one of Nintendo's more popular series, and is the personal favorite of the creator or Smash Bros himself. Hey, why would Sakurai voice Dedede in Kirby 64 and Brawl otherwise?

I love Dedede's style. He goes with my "hit and run" gameplay perfectly, able to combo and recover extremely easily, and also able to charge up and plan moves from far away. Dedede takes some thought, skill, and time, but he's awesome to play as.

And I have no regrets for his SSE role. Plays homage to the old Kirby classics, really something to be prowd of for all Kirby fans.
