A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that he or she is dreaming while the dream is in progress. In a lucid dream, once the dreamer actually discovers that they are dreaming, they can control it. Making it feel real, but better. You can do ANYTHING you wish to do, because it is a dream. It feels so real, people actually can get confused between the real world and the dream world. However, there are some simple stuff that you can do in the real world, and not in your lucid dream. Like turning off the switch of a light, or reading. I got into Lucid Dreaming once I saw Geno's topic about his dreams awhile ago. However, his dreams he was discussing weren't fully lucid. It was more of a false awakening. Anyways, I had a couple lucid dreams lately. Lucid dreaming is like the best thing ever, really. You can see, hear, feel, and smell just like reality, except better, because you can do whatever you want.

Lucid dreaming isn't easy. If you want to have an AWESOME experience of a Lucid Dream, PM me. I will tell you what you need to do to have a Lucid Dream, or a decent one.

But to those who HAVE had a Lucid Dream, discuss.

Don't just discuss your Lucid dream experiences, but discuss what is your opinion on Lucid dreaming.

I'd rather go along with the dream than control it. I hardly ever remember dreams anymore, and I like what I do remember.

I had one once. I had gotten stung by a bee, and I kept having this reoccuring dream about a swarm of bees attacking me. On the 3rd time I said your butterflies, and they turned into butterflies.... Yeah a bit WTH? but it was the first time it happened.

I've had a few others since then, but they are very rare, yet epically awesome. I've had several where I'm flying, and the sensation is just wonderful.

Yes I love my dream world, but most of the time I can't remeber my dreams T_T I think it's awesome to dream this way, because it seems completely real, better than just day-dreaming. It's stronger in being more realistic, and is just awesome.

It's quite easy to remember your dreams. What you do is wake yourself up in the middle of the night with an alarm clock. (Set it to probably 6 hours before you sleep) and once it wakes you up from your dream, you'll remember it pretty clearly. Once you've mastered it, you don't have to wake yourself up over and over again to remember you dreams, you can remember them even with a great night sleep. So if you always want to remember your dreams, make sure you keep a dream journal. Write what was in your dream, what happened, the enviroment, and everything that you can possibly remember about your dream. Before you know it, you'll be able to remember all your dreams! And once you can remember your dreams clearly, you can have better, more realistic Lucid dreams. Very Happy

I'm really interested in this subject. I've been trying to have a lucid dream myself for a while now. The problem is, I don't realize I'm dreaming until I think I'm about to die or something. (Example: I'm in a car and it falls off a cliff.)

I had a few in my lifetime, but there were only when I was in a completely screwed situation in the dream.

You can never be screwed in a lucid dream. Lets say you get cornered by thousands of aliens. Once you've discovered its a dream. You can do WHATEVER you want, so you can NUKE all these aliens in 1 second, and you will be free!

@Merlink: PM me, I will help you. BTW, if you knew you were dreaming, you should have just jumped out of the car and fly away. XD

I panicked!
All I could think to do was scream, "Wake up!"

And I'll get to that PM right away!

I remember I killed my brother in a dream (I didn't know what a Lucid Dream was then) and I tried waking myself up by moving, jumping all over the place in my dream. XD

I remember having a couple of those. I remember changing the outcome of some kind of futuristic battle in something that looked a lot like a Metal Gear, although this was before I discovered MGS. Yeah, I have a really whacked out imagination.

I love lucid dreaming...for it is great amusement. Especially when they happen to be a video game dream.

I have lucid dreams alot...at least three times a month. Of course, that is if I ever get to sleep, for I suffer from insomnia.

Once, I was in a Pikmin Game, and I was Captain Olimar. I was in this odd area getting the crap beaten out of my pikmin, when I realized I was in a dream. Then I made it to where I could pull out infinite amounts of pikmin (kind of like Brawl) to beat the creature up. By the way, the creature was a Bulborb, but I turned it into some odd fat guy with a strange spray.

80% of all my dreams are lucid, it takes me a moment to realize that I'm dreaming, then I take control. It's awesome but when I wake up I get all disappointed because it wasn't real.
