I bought this today for the sheer fact that it was $20 and I have a mild interest in vertical shooters. I could not have been happier with the purchase. The best way to describe this game is to say that it is a perfect fusion of the musical elements from Lumines with the fast paced shooting action of Space Invaders. Every explosion and laser shot goes along with the techno music constantly blaring in the background along with coma inducing shows of lights and colors that makes up the rest of the graphical presentation. All the new power-ups are great along with the method you obtain them with which adds some much needed strategy to the classic formula, along with dozen of new enemies and several boss battles that can be a bit challenging.
This game is also out on the DS with single card multiplayer, but I'd suggest the PSP version if you want to get the most out of the visuals and sound. I have no doubt that this will eventually end up on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN and I have no choice but to recommend it to anyone who likes arcade shooters. |

Got it imported from Japan. Most of the in-game text is in english. Let me reiterate. MOST OF THE IN-GAME TEXT IS IN ENGLISH. Never have I imported a Nippon game that I have been able to read. Still awesome. |
