Ever since SPM, we've seen that Luigi has some sort of evil side to him, but not until Brawl was it confirmed. Well, sort of. I understand they both aren't canon, but do you think Nintendo will catch on to this idea, and use it? Also, what do you think conjured up his evil side, and why?
In other words; discussion of evil weegee gogogo

He's not really evil, I'd say, but he has some kickass powers deep down in there. |

I believe It is spelled canon in this sense. >_>
Regardless, I'm not particularly thinking he has a "dark" side. And using Mr. L as an example of Luigi being evil isn't making a great point. |

Of course he has a dark side. Going out and getting pregnant like that. What an irresponsible person! |

I think Luigi started to have a dark side after Luigi's Mansion because of all the paranormal stuff he encountered there. (even if it was just boo's) The fact that he always played second fiddle to Mario and was always in his shadow adds to it too, along with the events in SPM and his final Smash description in brawl. To be honest, I actually *crag* love this dark side of his... I really look forward to what nintendo plans to do with this dark side of his in future mario games. |

Memories of Luigi's Mansion seems to hunt Luigi.
In MLSS, in SM64DS, in SMG... F.L.U.D.D. being made by E.Gadd, Luigi being sent to the Underwhere (well, kind of). Not to count Luigi's Mansion and King Boo appearing in less-canon games. Poor Luigi.
Since he became less than the second player's character (strangely coinciding with when he got a higher jumping ability), Luigi has been forgotten - the in-game characters started to ignore Luigi's existence, except a few loyal fans. And Luigi cared a little - if you read his diary in Paper Mario, you'd know what I mean - but he said he had absolutely no vengeful desires toward his big brother, just that he would have liked to shine more, that he wanted the people the know who is the epic Luigi!
Fast forwarding to SPM - still in the Paper Mario series - Dimentio mentioned that Luigi is the perfect host for the Chaos Heart's powers. This leaves me in a bit of intrigue, as this points toward many of Luigi's regrets and sorrows. I would like to see this used in a next Paper Mario game, the result could be interesting.
But Mario and Paper Mario are seemingly somewhat two very different dimensions with different canon elements.
Nonetheless, Luigi makes the Mario series deeper than it look - but this may clash a lot... |

I think it's from living under his brother's shadow. Just a minute's difference made Luigi the second banana. He just wants to shine, to have his own adventure. But those thoughts are left unsaid and are left to rot inside his mind, spewing out dark, evil secrets... |

Yeesh, Luigi isn't evil. If he was, he'd turn back on Mario at his own will. He just has some untapped arcane powers in his soul that can either be used to help him and his friends save the world...Or be abused by villains for their own purposes. |
