Okay... look, I have seen what has happened throughout the day once the Name Tags came out. First, it started out okay, then, things went from bad to worse.

I do not mind the use of the Name Tag since it's an okay feature. But, it's just how people are reacting to some of the Name Tag users is what's getting on my mind.

Okay, people are role-playing in Off-Topic instead of Role-Play and RPOT... and...? What? Did they do anything bad to any of you guys? We are only testing out the Name Tags just by posting in character...

WHICH IS HOW DIGIBUTTER STARTED IN THE FIRST PLACE! Everyone acted in character! If there are people out there that are actually getting annoyed with the in-character thing, I got three simple solutions packed in one!

Deal with it! Mind your own business! And shut the hell up about it! Only if you are feeling annoyed about the whole in-character thing going around.

Next up, there are people saying stupid bullcrap such as "Go back to RPOT and get the *crag* out of OT!" Hey... guys! Just read the three simple solutions posted above this paragraph! Don't give the user a bad time by saying shit such as "Go back to RPOT". You know what? It's the *crag*ing Internet, kids! What the *crag* do you expect? Candy Lanes, diamonds and things to go your way? NO! People on this site have their own freedoms to do whatever they want without trying to break the rules.

Say if someone is acting in character over something that really happened to the user in real life? Sure, that's cool.

What if someone was using a character to post shit that is pointless spam? That's a problem, and we need to avoid that.

Meanwhile, there are total asswipes trying to limit the freedoms on people by telling them to "F-off!" What the hell is this? Are some of you people TRYING to recreate some sort segregation against people who role-play and act in character? That's what seems to be going on at the moment.

People are fighting and having wars over this crap. It SICKENS me!

Also, I can see there are people that are saying that RPOT gave them some venereal disease or something. That is the most retarded excuse I've ever seen on the Internet. The people who keep saying that "RPOT gave them cancer" is posting in nearly every topic in Off-Topic and being total spamming idiots that are risking to get striked, jailed or banned. But, *crag* that... I don't give a shit about that anymore. If they want to bring trouble to themselves and get BANNED, then they will continue their stupidity.

Look here, Nerrs... Digibutter will keep falling apart if you guys keep this stupidity and segregation up. People will leave, forums will be dead and Digibutter will die if this keeps up. And who's to blame? The people who have been telling others to "F-Off! This is my territory!" will be the ones to blame.

EVERYONE ON THIS SITE IS SUPPOSED TO BE TREATED EQUALLY! (Except for spammers and dumbass trolls like Evangel or whatever...)

In order to resolve this conflict, we must unite and make Digibutter Digibetter. By how things are going right now with all the crap going around, it's not looking good for the site.

Please, people... all I am saying is...

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE! END THE WARS!

Thank you for your time.

Excellent job, as always, Cody/Kamek. You've been able to use rage to your advantage and give us all a deeper realization by sticking it up our faces and making us suffer through our own pathetic feces. Well, okay, maybe it's a bit over-dramatic, but the fact that we're still dealing with this kind of crap IS crap in itself.

Thank you for this enlightening realization. What we need is more Lord Bowser posers for "Who's most in character?" while keeping discussion at a high and still giving our true opinions. Do we have to be IC all of the time? No, not even LB is. But, if we can create a balance between seriousness and nerriness, then the great soul of Tippi will decend upon us once again and usher us into a new era of prosperity while the flamers burn in their own fire for all eternity.

What bothers me is that, for example, I post 'So I found out I have cancer. =<'.
Someone like Kraehe or whatever is in character, and says something like 'I am evil, I don't care. I laugh at you'. It is the character's personality blocking the users opinions.

There is a solution to that.

If the discussion is supposed to be serious, post it in digiblogger or General Discussion.

I've seen a few people act in character in digiblogger only because they were in a not-so-serious topic just to fool around or have their character relate to the situation. It seems fine to me. I don't mind it.

But, I must say... if there is supposed to be topics with serious discussion, just put (Serious) in the title of the topic or something. People will stop acting in character and give their real opinions.

...that's really incorrect. Any posts like that which you described would've just been filler posts anyway that would just be used to carry on conversation. And Devin always showed her opinion in her posts, though using Kraehe's attitude, which is extremely admirable.

That is because we honorable warriors of OT do not want any RPOT faggotry within our sanction.

I do believe that being in-character should not only be allowed, but be encouraged (Although not have to be a requirement).

However, I don't agree with all-out role-playing, with purely role-playing and huge plot threads outside RP and RPOT (As, not only does it not look right among other threads, it destroys the purpose behind the RP and RPOT forums, as well.)

I still believe the announcement that I made (Although it was eventually removed; either Francis found it unneeded or thought that it shouldn't stick around) a while ago is reasonable and fair.

Quote:
Acting in-character is allowed, as long as it isn't to the extreme and as long as it doesn't create spamming. You must be able to fully express your opinion on the subject the thread is about, as well as being able to have your posts be understood by other members. After all, you must remember- being in-character is allowed, but it is not a requirement, and members are not required to know about the character you are.

Also, there's a difference between all-out role-playing and being in-character. Pure role-playing topics and plots should be kept to their appropriate forums; just as non role-playing threads should be kept to their appropriate forums.

This is what I'm talking about. People like you are literally trying to kill off everyone else's freedoms just so you think you can "keep your territory". This isn't Gang Wars, stop pushing people out and just let people in and see how they would do. If their in-character acting is total crap, then it gets annoying and I understand. But, not all of the role-players are spammers or idiots.

You'll never learn the true "character" of someone, until you walk a mile in their shoes.

And thank you very much, Crump.

You do realize I was the only one pushing for RP right?

Like, for a long time.

I think I have earned the right to be discriminatory towards what you people call "Role-Playing."

Also, it's the closest thing we have to usergroups, and if I must fuel the flames to keep the war between OT and RPOT alive now and again, then fuel I shall!

Whatever, man. I don't really care. It will only cause flame wars, jailings and only a big punishment against the site.

You will regret yourself if you keep the fuel on the fire. Which most of us are literally trying not to do.

I don't approve of the nametags coming back, because it brings back flame wars with them. My fueling has wrought nothing harmful before, nothing at all. Tis' the taggers what bring this wretched plague upon our land, not those who valiantly defend lulz and out of characternezz.

I'm pretty sure it's the people's attitudes that need to change, not the Name-Tags. I think we should be handling this better, and I don't consider that to be by this black and white "this side, that side, the other side is poison" idea. Let's please not make blanket generalizations with this grouping to two sides, and actually try to get along and share this forum AND make it greater through doing so. You know, together. That's just my thought on it.
