I just had this idea for a War combat system; you go to the tournament page, and under the "create tournament" link there's a "start war" link. You enter in the enlistment fee for recruits, the name of the person you want to wage war on, how many people can enlist, the names of the armies/sides, etc., and when you complete that form, the person you want to fight against receives a PM if they accept the war and its terms. If they accept, both sides pay 10 coins and the "enlistment" phase begins. There would be two methods of enlistment: a person could enlist manually on the war page onto a side, or someone from a side would send an invitation to someone, who would get a PM asking if they would like to enlist. Once the sides are filled up, both sides will press a button saying that they are ready for war. Once both are confirmed, all troops are given 100 points of "War-HP", seperate HP from the regular HP, as well as given 50 points of "War-MP", 100 "War-Coins", a currency only for war, and 5 different attack items taken at random. Users in war cannot be harmed by those not participating in the war, or by people from their own side to prevent treason. War leaders are given 500 War-HP, 50 War-MP, 300 War-Coins, and ten attack items. War leaders can declare surrender, among other options. Leaders also have the option of upgrading certain troops to "Officer" status at the beginning of the war, where they are given 150 War-HP and special officer privileges. There can only be up to 3 officers at a time on one side. Troops and leaders can purchase War items from a special "War-Shop", which only shows up to troops in a war, and which its items can only be bought with War-Coins. Also, Leaders and Officers may offer a bribe to troops, to get them to swap over to their side. If someone swaps, the opposing leader is immediately notified. If an armie's platoon excluding the leader is defeated, or the Leader himself is defeated, then the other army wins. Armies may choose a color to represent them, which is displayed in their profile along with the name of the army. Additionally, if it doesn't cost Francis too many bandwidths, both armies could have their own Chat-box under the regular chat link which would say "Join war chat". This could also pave the path to a Advance Wars style game on Digibutter, meaning multiple armies could wage war with one another...

So, whacha think of that? Any ideas to add on or complaints? :3

Nice ideas and I would love to see a deep war-system too. The problem is that the current battle system sucks. Until I can create one that can limit fighters in some way to make battles fair (right now its whoever attacks first wins basically) I don't plan on doing too much with new attack items and war stuff.

Ah... there should always be the off-chance of a dodge or a miss, eh? This actually gives me an idea for a more in-depth combat system... ._.

I disagree with the "prevent treason" thing. I think it's more fun if there's a few traitors/spies in a war; look at the recent Item War where I betrayed my own faction, for example. Laughing

Let's not forget the famous

Everyone: *joins one side*

Ultimario *joins other side lol*

Everyone else: *dai*

That may be an exaggeration, but ultimario's side always wins. None of the other rich people item war because he convinces them to keep their titles as richest users.

I agree, he's pretty much the trump card. But this idea would be good, the only real catch is the whol ultimario deal.

In my opinion, the war should be a game of ration.

Each team has x number of cannonballs for their cannon, and y medkits to revive fallen members. That way, money doesn't come into it.
