This is sad news for me. I respected him as an actor, and I was looking forward to many more great movies from him, but with this whole Scientologist thing... ugh, I don't think I can handle it.
I thought he was closely associated with people who were scientologists and demonstrated interest in the religion, but is still considered a christian. Unless I'm missing something, which I probably am; I haven't been paying attention to recent news n' stuff.
Anyway, just because he may be a scientologist doesn't mean he's a bad actor. It's best to not judge a person based only on a single aspect of their life. I don't know much about Will Smith's personal life, but he's probably a good, respectable individual.
