I am going to purchase this game soon. I have (as I usually prefer to do) answered most of the questions myself through research. But I still have one that I feel could possibly be answered on this forum. Can cloaked and/or disguised spies be heard? Do their footsteps when walking or running make noise? Or is there no way to know when they walk through a door other than spraying the entrance with attacks? |

you can't really hear footsteps besides your own. This isn't a realistic game. |

If you can concentrate past the gunfire, than yes, the Spies can be heard (un)cloaking and walking.
And if you can't go through a "teammate" they're Spies. |

Spy is hard to play, but at the same time most people aren't very aware of their surroundings in this game. How good you can do as a spy totally depends on the enemy team, how well they communicate, and how unaware they are. |

Well, I'll be sure to try out and enjoy every class, but I believe the Sniper will be my favorite. I was just asking out of curiosity. |

I'm pretty sure you can hear footsteps if there isn't any other louder noises. Since there's a battle going on, you shouldn't be able to hear any footsteps. |

You can see invisible spies because they turn a translucent color of the team they're on. |

Only if they're on your team. Enemy spies are completely invisible, unless someone runs into them or they get shot, in which case they'll flicker for a second. |
