Neutral on the subject. They don't add anything, they don't take away from anything. |

They aren't great, but not bad enough to complain. |

So, I was playing FFTA2 today like I have been over the last few days when I noticed something.
Viera, Moogles, Gria, Seeq, Nu Mou... There's a huge variety of races in this game, as well as lots of the other recent FF games. The consistency could be a good thing, but most of the masterpieces (Thinking of 7, 8 and 9 right now) got by perfectly with only humans (Or Humes. And Moogles don't count since they weren't as significant as in some of the last few games). So, is the addition of these new races good or bad?
I don't mind them, since they do give a bit of diversity to the games, but sometimes I think they'd be a bit better off keeping things the same as the greatest FF games.
Besides, Viera are awesome.

I'm okay with it. Doesn't really matter to me. Plus, it adds more variety to the universe. Not a huge fan of the gria, though. |

Viera ARE kickass. I don't have enough experience with TA2's new races to pass judgement on them, but I liked FFTA's original five pretty well. Didn't use Bangaa too much, but they were all plenty interesting.
FFIX did have an interesting mix of races, though, and I liked the variety. IIRC, there were hippos in Alexandria, the Burmecian mouse/rat-people, the Black Mages, the Genomes/Terrans, and a bunch of unidentifiable humanoid races that were never really explained. And I'm pretty Queen Brahne was half-whale. *shot*
...Excuse that little tangent. XD |

I like the first 5, but I haven't gotten any of the new ones in my party. I REALLY want a Seeq, and Grias seem okay. But Seeq's are the most interesting IMO. *really wants a damn ranger already* |

The Gria seem cool, though. I want one in my clan. :< |

Gria are awesome, SSSS-BLAM. They can fly! what more do you want? Raptor seems like their best class so far, but I haven't used a Geomancer yet.
Seeq are pretty good; it seems like Lanista and Ranger are much better than Berserker or Viking. |

I've yet to get my hands on FFTA2, but Gria look very promising. I was always a Bangaa guy. I always prefered offensive strategy, and they fit the bill, rather well. Veira come second, cause I am also preferable using distanced attacks with there arrows. |

Bangaa were my least favorite race in FFTA, SSSS-BLAM, but now I like them a lot more. Cannoneers are really helpful, and Tricksters are just fun. |
