I agree with Devin. I would be afraid to die RIGHT NOW, or in a painful/violent way, but I know zhat it has to happen eventually, and I'd be perfectly fine with passingk away in my sleep at an old age, or somezhink like zhat. |

The concept of death doesn't scare me, but the concept of what comes after does. I'm no atheist, but I'm not religious. I'm not sure what happens after one dies, and to tell the truth, that scares me... a lot. Deep in the back of my mind, I hope that Heaven and Hell exist; at least one would be able to preform conscious thought and be aware of their own existence.
Most people imagine that, if there is not "afterlife", that there will be blackness afterwards. But that's only because that's what we, as thinking, conscious beings perceive it to be. It's all we can, right? Well... there wouldn't be a perpetual darkness... there would be nothingness. Nothingness would have no colour because you wouldn't be able to recognize it.
And that scares me. |

The only fear I have of death, is a death that is dishonorable. I claimed, that if I die, I shall rise again and again until truthful and honor is claimed to that death. I will not be taken down so easily. |

Death doesn't scare me, but I do take a minimum of security precautions when doing stuff.
Just that after death, you don't live. I'm a bit curious, because you can't be conscious if you don't live, so you can't know how it is to not live... that's kinda weird. |

I used to be terrified of death, but lately, I find the concept exciting. What comes afterward, what it's like...a lot of people are afraid of the unknown, but that's the one thing I crave. I'm not really afraid of myself dying, not at this point at least, but I'm afraid of the people I care about dying. My mom, my biological dad, my cats, my niece, my sister...the people I love most. I don't know what I would do if they died. D: |

I remember, at one point...being afraid of death. Mortially afraid. Then my grandfather, my best and only friend, died one night suddenly. It was quick and tragic, a heart attack...but at least he felt no pain, for it killed him instantly.
That was the day I shed my last tear in the face of death. |

When death comes, greet it with a open door but if you dont think its your time, then it obviously isn't, lock the door and go out with a fight!!!! |

I'm a believing Christian, so whilst I am afraid to die, I believe that something comes after that, and IT WILL BE AWESOME.

Not really. I sometimes long for it, disturbingly enough, just to see what's beyond life. That thought actually kept me awake one night. O~O |

Voldemort says that there is nothing worse than death. Dumbledore says death is but the next great adventure. Who should I trust? The psycho dark lord, or the gay master of magic? |

Death is, to me, a beauty and treasure. A poetic final justice and final glimpse of one's accomplishments. Did we succeed? Did we fail? Where will we go from here? To me, that is worth joy, not sorrow.
I believe that the concept of afterlife is whatever we precieve it to be. If there's a heaven, Hell, Nerdvana, purgatory...whatever we believe at our last breath we are going to, we go to. Our souls take that one last image of our mind with us and, with all of our preceptions and expectations, enter that place. Really, it's thrilling when you think about it.
I don't fear death. What I fear is pain. Even the slightest amount of discomfort (unless it's a needle handled by a professional) makes me cringe and shy away. Even pinching, bishslapping...anything that causes discomfort I feel fear from. If I die by accident, I'll probably welcome the death to escape from my fears, all the pain and suffering, leaving it all behind.
Emotional pain and suffering, though, is sort of a different story. To the extent of giving myself a black eye I can harm myself, but rarely ever would I draw blood from myself over emotional trauma. I was precieved as strange when my uncle, who was the family member closest to me, passed away without myself even sheding a tear. But...he's in the beautiful heaven he imagined now, with all of the joy in the world. That's worth celebration, not tears.
So, in summation, I don't fear death, simply any pain that comes with it. |

I don't fear death. It's inevitability is what makes it not so terrifying for me. I know that nothing can last forever, and if I were to die now, I would accept it. 'Cause I was meant to die at that time and place. |

I am in no way afraid to die, I've come to realize that one day my life will end and whenever it happens it happens. |
