Yoshi thinks there should be a picture of parrakarry next to tippi whenever you have a new message to make it more noticable.

The reason is mainly for tournaments if someone never notices new messages, and even I forget sometimes. The prime example is two people must compete for a tournament, and can't because one person never notices the "You have 1 New messages."

And don't say not supported just because you always notice it. Some people don't.

However, I see no harm in this. It certainly would be fun, and make new messages a lot more noticeable.

Well, there is the "Pop up window on new Private Message" option when you edit your profile.

Of course, you would need have your pop-up blocker ignore this site.

I had it all set to give me a pop-up window when I have new messages, but I somehow disabled the little message the Firefox gives you when it blocks a pop-up, so I never know when I have a new message.

An idea that I had, is that let's say if you had one new message, it would show up as "You have 1 new message." The red color, or a different color might stand out to people better than black.
