Well, it started at around 7 AM, when my mom came in and told me that my aunt's mom had a stroke, so we had to go up island and deliver another cache of strawberries. Don't ask me how they relate, because I don't know either. "Mom, why do I have to go with you?" "Because I asked you to! Don't argue with me and have a bad temper!"
So, we get in the car. I turn on my DS, relieved to learn I'd at least get SOME entertainment, only to find out that it's on red power. GRAHHH.
An hour and a half later...
We arrive at the market, and I have to work my ass off unloading 30 flats of strawberries. And we head back down.
An hour later...
On the highway...
The car starts shaking. No, there isn't a couple in the trunk. We pull over, only to find that the back tire blew.
Not just got punctured. Blew. As in... Little fragments of tire all over the road.
So we call my dad, who's at work half an hour down the island, who can't get off work for another half hour.
Half an hour later.
My dad leaves work and starts heading up to save us.
An hour later.
We're baking in the sun, since it's FREAKIN' HOT right now, when he finally arrives and changes the tire for us. So we head back down, for half an hour.
Only to learn that I missed... Let's say, something important.
What a wonderful day... |
