Since I'm so SICK of seeing them, is there a way to completely stop those STUPID INFO BALLOONS from popping up in the bottom right corner of my desktop? I have so many apps and programs installed, I'm literally clicking the x's in them for 5 minutes every time I start the computer.
I want them to be GONE! |

Basically, they look like comic book text bubbles, and they have stupid little messages in them. |

Might you be willing to share a few of the messages from the balloons so that I might be able to try and figure out what you are talking about?
No offense but I'm currently thinking you've become a little bit crazy. |

Oh, I know what you're talking about. I don't think there is a way to stop them. However, with Vista, I have yet to see one, other than boxes that come up telling me my anti-virus has just been upgraded and stuff. .-.; |

Well, what I do to make my computer run faster (and stop those balloons) is to, basically, turn off all my applications, or at least disable them from startup.
Vista, right? Start Menu > Type 'msconfig' & Enter > Startup tab > Disable all the ones that annoy you (but make sure you're still protected with firewalls, etc.)
I would only do this if there are applications that you don't use anymore/at all (for example, I've disabled Winamp at startup, but I can still open it normally) |
