There aren't very many of these, but my favorite kind of fight is one where as the fight goes on, the boss gets weaker through someway or another, or there's more than one way to win.
I'm planning on working in video gaming, and I have a few ideas how to work this:
There's a boss that is impossible or near impossible to hurt, either by some sort of force field that activates automatically every time you try to hit them, or because they move incredibly fast(not necessarily will they be hard to hit, but they could be blocking all of your moves) but over time, as you keep the pressure on them, they will tire(or the power source for whatever powerful machine they're using will weaken or run out) and they become much easier. but surviving up until this point is tricky.
I doubt anyone has ever tried something like that, and if they have, kudos to them. |

They're the most epic. Just look at the poo boss in Conker's Bad Fur Day. |

I like bosses that are extremely hard to beat. |
