The recent GameInformer has put an 8 page article on the new upcomming Rock Band 2.

Quote:
Some info I pulled out:
-Ability to "tune" your instruments
-Redesigned quickplay mode
-Brand new track choice screen
-Ability to create setlists
-Ability to auto-create setlists
-No-Fail mode
-Solo modes for every instrument
-World Tour Online
-Battle of the Bands mode
--Band vs Band
--Start out going against bands like yourself
--During each challenge, theres a meter that shows how close you are to passing the next band
--1 mode is: bands compete for the highest multiplier for the longest time
--Countdown to the deadline next to the instructions
-Drum Trainer
-More user-friendly lag calibrator
-Jukebox mode
--Listen to music, but don't have to play
-Old hardware still works
-New drum pads are velocity sensitive
-Less "squishy" strummer
-Ion drum kit
-Able to purchase custom real-world merch for characters
-In-game photo creator lets you set facial expressions and poses for your characters, add visual effects and then upload to RockBand.com
-You can order t-shirts and posters, bumper stickers and all sorts of stuff with your band logo.
-Guitar buttons don't click so loudly

Looks even more awesome. :D

Those aren't the real drums, it's a special edition.

Many people love realism. Heck, I love realism in games. Although, some games, like Mario or Sonic, shouldn't be realistic, games like this, NEED realism.

I mean, realism in a game like Rockband keeps it seperated from things like having Bugs bunny playing on the Vocals yelling out I LOVE YOU, YOU LOVE ME, to someone with scars on his face, bad ass clothing, playing a solo on the guitar.

amirite?

GUYS SOME SERIOUS SHIT WENT DOWN AND I'VE DISCOVERED SOMETHING.

Look at this image carefully. If any of you have played Guitar Hero III you'll remember the song "Holiday in Cambodia" by the Dead Kennedys. If you remember the song look at the picture again. Look at the lyrics "it's the way I bring in" and look at the pitches you're supposed to sing them at. Now replace those lyrics with "It's a holiday in" and sing it like it is in the song as you look through the lyrics and the pitches for the other lyrics. You'll notice they're exactly the same. This is because Harmonix replaces the lyrics so no body finds out what the actual song is.

Also, the other instrument notes fit in perfectly with the song.

This means Holiday in Cambodia is in Rock Band 2. No doubt about it.

Please do not post huge scans of entire magazine articles, it is
A) Illegal
and
B) Annoying

Just summarize what new info is revealed instead of just posting half of a magazine and expecting us to read it all.

Even better, just post the link to where you got the scans:

Anyways, I am boycotting Rock Band because of how they treated us Wii owners. Rock Band 2 for Wii probably won't have any of the cool features mentioned. Guitar Hero World Tour will be awesome though.

That's why you have a PS3. Just get Rock Band 2/GH:WT for the PS3 since you have one.

The problem with these peripheral-heavy games is that once you get one, you are kinda committed to that series on that platform. (Unless you want an entire room of plastic instruments, costing hundreds of dollars).

I already have Guitar Hero III for Wii, so getting GH:WT for Wii will be my best and cheapest option, especially sincie they said GH:WT for Wii have all the features found on other consoles.
