I bet in about one hour we see Reggie and Shiggy sword fight in MotionPlus Zelda.

And Shiggy better kick Reggie's ass if that's true.

Pro:
- Good technology
- Perfect potential for more games
- May go somewhat towards moving the Wii out of the "kiddy" image.
- Doesn't rewuire you to buy new Wiimotes, you just

Con:
- Have to get new Wii "Condoms"
- Have to get a new Wii Zapper
- Have to spend extra money
- May not be compatible with old games

Money-making scheme or considerate upgrade ?

I heard Con-people say that

Yeah, first thing out of E3 is Nintendo saying "Oh, actually our wiimote motion tracking is shit, so buy this".
Interesting call Nintendo, you think you might save this a few days or announce it after E3 or something.
and complaining why hat wasn't included in the first place and that it seems to be Nintendo's strategy to "start cheap, then shell out mandatory upgrade accessories for better games"

Pro people point out that

Well, there's this thingy called technology. It changes. Everyday. Really. Maybe, and just maybe, Nintendo didn't have the know-how to create such a precise controller. Maybe they had the know-how, but hey, they were getting into unknown territory. [...] Anyways, maybe at the Wii launch Nintendo had to be careful. It could have been a make-or-break, and they needed the money to pay people, things, and all. You know the drill. Nintendo lives ONLY of videogames. Let's not forget that. Maybe adding a second gyroscope would obey them to increase the pricetag of the Wii, which was already seemingly awful, specially with all apologies from increasing the price tag from 199 to 249.

And maybe, they had the know-how, but din't find it that relevant. People are buying the console, the games, everybody is happy. Yeah, it may be waggly, softcore, whatever. They're making their money(And hey, them making money means a happy Miyamoto with a Ferrari in his garage and a happy, trouble-free mind to make my new Zelda. So what the hell?). But then, suddenly, from the dark pits of Microsoft and Sony, there comes a howl:a terrible one, that foresees shadows over Nintendo's recently regained reign: MOTION CONTROL-A-PALOOZA. There's even a third party designing a Wiimote-ripoff(Yeah, sounds harsh, they're just the siderunners trying to get somewhere, but hey! The button layout is a painful ripoff). So they decide that, being it so probable that Microsoft and/or Sony would present at this E3 their innovative, groundbreaking, motion-sensitive controller, the time had come to give a boost to the actual controller. And hey, if it really works as well as they're saying it will, I'm all for it.

Nintendo didn't promise 1:1 control, as far as I remember. If they did, hell, I wouldn't have bought it anyway. My Wii has been providing me and my friends sh*tloads of fun, without 1:1 motion-capture. People are willing to shell out the money for a brand new "Wii controller" for the Xbox/PS3, but they whine and bitch for having to pay for an add-on that will not only be much more responsive, but also cheaper than the aforementioned possibility for the other consoles.

Yeah, paying for things suck. It would've been better if it was there on day one. But since then they had the time to perfect it and maybe develop some way to make its production cheaper. If it was there as the Wii became available for retail, we would've paid for it in the form of an increased price tag. If I can pay a little more for drastically improved gameplay, I will. Besides, ir's not like they're putting back anything that was removed. There were people comparing it to the SixAxis 3(I may be wrong about the numeral), which is a totally different situation. That, in my opinion, didn't deserve that much hating, anyways. Although it was kinda dumb.

Anyways, there are some really serious fanboyism cases around. I mean, it's okay to love or hate a company(pointless, although okay), just have the decency of making some sense out of it. Otherwise, it's just poking at people's noses. Videogame plays an important role in my life. I am a videogame enthusiast. Which may be kind of ridiculous. But it definitely doesn't beat the ridicule levels of a videogame enthusiast with a hatred-spilling heart.

As you can see, I am biased towards the pro-MotionPlus crowd. I think it's exciting and will provide awesome games. First I was against it, too, but I realized that the upgrade will be good and whilst at first I felt money-milked, I realized I couldn't change it so might have fun with it anyway.

To be honest, I think it's rather an interesting upgrade. I just hope it will get integrated in the Wii Remote later on, or be sold with it.

What I find funny is that some people complained that they could have made the Wii Remote an add-on to the Gamecube since they said the Wii lacked new features and more power (which is wrong, with the Virtual Console and Wi-Fi support and stuff). Yet, they complain about this add-on saying that it's a rip-off and stuff.

Sheesh. I say we wait until the next big gaming event, to see what we'll expect from Nintendo.
