Rock Band is an amazing rhythm game hindered by less-than-mediocre hardware, but that's not what this review is about.
The Rock Band Track Packs are a series of discs containing songs downloadable for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Rock Band. The song list for Volume 1 is as follows.
The Kill - 30 Seconds to Mars Move Along - All-American Rejects All the Small Things - Blink-182 More Than A Feeling - Boston Moonage Daydream - David Bowie We Care A Lot - Faith No More Truckin' - Grateful Dead Die, All Right! - The Hives Calling Dr. Love - KISS Gimme Three Steps - Lynyrd Skynyrd March of the Pigs - Nine Inch Nails Live Forever - Oasis Crushcrushcrush - Paramore Synchronicity II - The Police Little Sister - Queens of the Stone Age Teenage Lobotomy - The Ramones Siva - Smashing Pumpkins Interstate Love Song* - Stone Temple Pilots Buddy Holly - Weezer Joker & the Thief - Wolfmother
*Probably the best song ever in a rhythm game ever.
As you can see, it's a pretty good list.
Compared to Rock Band, it has a slight overhaul, graphically, and looks more like the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions than the PS2 version.
There's also a change in the interface, causing it to be more nit-picky. You have to be spot-on for the points, and that's kind of hard to get used to, given how leniency of the original.
Here are the final scores:
Song Selection: 8/10 Graphics: 8/10 Gameplay: 7/10
Overall: 7.5/10 |
