It flew off the edge of the building, mostlikely shattering when it hit the ground. Genesis stared at the edge in awe, then at TMT in fury. He kicked Rufus away and froze his limbs to the ground. "Tails... you have made the worst possible mistake in your life..." All of Midgar II began to shake. Not too violently at first, but it grew more and more violent, lurching the elevator up a bit. ((The post after this shall be the end of the elevator trip, due to my slight lack of patience lol.)) All of the towers billowing the green smoke - all of which had stopped before this - began blowing green steam much more violently than before, almost as violently as Midgar II had been shaking. Though the smoke didn't merely rise... It travelled to the top of the Shinra building. All towards one small red figure, who was absorbing the smoke as it came, howling in laughter all the while.
Toph immediately knew something was up when she felt the city shake through the building. She burst out of the elevator as it opened, and hit the ground ready to fight.
((*headdesk* I can't believe I missed your post again. I'm sorry! D:))
Silence for a moment. Genesis stood there staring into the sky, glowing green. He tilted his head to look at TMT. His eyes turned gold. "It is time to finish this little game... I've had enough." He drew his sword, creating green sparks as it flew out.
"Genesis... You fool. It is time you learned when to give up." He began firing at Genesis.
Genesis didn't let up. He continued shooting, also firing at Rufus.
"Gah!" Rufus shot the balls away, only for them to come back and hit him. He pulled out a cell phone and called someone. Moments later, a helicopter came flying down and Rufus jumped on it, sending magic to destroy the green balls heading towards TMT. "Come on, we can't fight him now! We have to go!"
