It's not new, and they didn't try to make it Anime. They liked the Anime style used in the movies by the guy who did the Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Deivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, and Spirited Away. They tried to make the scenes more realistic by using and changing some of the styles seen in those films. |

Does anybody else get the feeling that they were implying that Sokka and Suki were having sex...? |

Yoshi decided to semi-bump this because, well... Yeah, episode was today. Yoshi does agree with you on that ? block, by the way.
Yoshi thought it was really nice. Ang, or however you spell it...Aang, Yoshi has no idea how to spell it, but me thinks that he was being Saturn with the air ring, water ring, earth ring, and fire rings around him. But afew things were too obvious. Yoshi knew the island was moving, and after his theorie that the island was moving had been proven, Yoshi decided it's probably a turtle.
And yoshi SO knew Uzula would lightning Katara, even before her eyes shifted.
Well, everything is obvious to yoshi, so he best not complain. Yoshi just knows TV shows so well. A bit unexpected that he took Fire lord's bending, but yoshi couldn't understand what Lion turtle was saying anyways. |

I actually thought the island was like Ogygia, a place from Greek mythology that was separate from all existence.
Also, Psycho!Azula *crag* owned. |

Psycho Azula did indeed own. But if she DID become the fire lord, she probably banish everyone before she got to push anyone around. |

When Uzula banished the Dai Lee, or however you spell it, Yoshi laughed. He knew she would banish everyone in time. She's paranoid. |

Yeah...Aang vs. Ozai and Zuko / Katara vs. Azula were undoubtedly the best fight scenes in the series. =P
The scenes when Sokka, Suki, and Toph took out the blimp fleets were great, as well. Poor guy got dropped into the ocean for his birthday XD |

Well, just imagine the possibilities if she HADN'T become paranoid and betrayed and got to be Fire Lord.
Scary. |

Just finished it. You know how our generation talks about how awesome shows like Gargoyles, Batman: TAS, and Beast Wars were? About how great the stories and characters were, how the shows defined their childhood, how they just don't make cartoons like that anymore? Well, 10 years from now, the younger generation is going to be saying the same thing about Avatar. Zuko and Iroh's reunion was heart-tugging, psychotic Azula was disturbing, the fight scenes were oh my *crag* god, and I feel warm and fuzzy from the closure. Fantastic show, great ending, going to go down in history as one of the cartoon greats. |

It'd be hard to make a sequel, but whatever it is, Yoshi thinks it MUST have Sokka.
Because without Sokka, the show lacks mellon lord, and without mellon lord, the show lacks lulz. |

I recall hearing that Mike and Bryan want to make more seasons of Avatar. But they won't be about the current main characters, and instead will be expanding on the world the show takes place in, stuff and places we haven't seen. I think it's an awesome idea.

I'm really conflicted about whether or not I want a continuation of the series. = /
I'm really sad to see all the characters that I've grown to know and love go, but I know that a continuation of the series with them will just detract from their appeal and from the finale's impact. Their stories are finished; it would be disrespectful to the characters to put them in a new situation.
On the other hand, a continuation set in a completely different time period will, of course, call for new characters...and I really can't see any new characters having the same appeal of the originals.
I want to see more from the Avatar universe, yet at the same time, I don't want it to be whored out like so many other shows have been. It's difficult to think of a way that has the same amazing appeal that the first three seasons did. |
