I believe some mods aren't using the tools they have. For example: Warai's Orange Soda topic.
It was a topic about the drink. and it was exactly where it was supposed to be. (Off Topic, because no forums covering Soda). The topic moves smoothly for a while, until an image was posted that caused a quote pyramid. Then the whole topic is LOCKED. This is where I belevied the moderater in question messed up. Instead of trying to salvage it (By only deleting the posts in it thaqt broke the rules) , he decided to give it no chance at all (By locking the topic).

Actually, with that, I asked Mitchell to lock it, due to with the spam, it seemed to have lost it's purpose.

Perhaps a mod made a mistake, so what? We're humans. Have you ever been perfect at anything? Have you ever had the other team get a goal, a run, or a win? We can't always be perfect. Perhaps when Francis makes Meowmods, we won't be blamed for this stuff anymore.
Like Mister I said, if you want to clean out the crag in Digibutter, report it, so it can be taken care of over time. Then eventually, there will be no crag left. So lets all make a team effort to make Digibutter Digibetter. Make it so everyone says "*crag* YOU CRAG!* |

Well its my time to shine.
Plastic, face it. You are damn biased. And you even told me you YOURSELF that you were biased on MSN once. I could go dig up the old chat thing if I can find it. my MSN is gay and all so I'm using meebo :[ We can also dig up old topics that shows your biasm. Half the reports I reported were ignored. Note the members I reported are Tessie and Plastic's "favorite members" when I clearly reported spam.
Remember CFH? Me and him talk a lot. He told me he reported countless spams and what happens? It gets ignored. I remember now. He reported MsDevin once for spam and it was ignored (Plastic and Tessie were on at the time) and it wasn't striked until some other mod came to do the job.
I know Tessie is scared to strike his friends and same with Platic. But if I spammed, they would go "IMMEDIATE STRIKE CUZ ITS SSG LOL HE GUNNA SNAP DUDES IF NOTHINGS DONE!"
Next time Plastic and Tessie, please whenever your doing you job, get rid of your personality, become a mod bot and strike/warn without hesitation. You should give out more warnings, because usually people stop after a warning. This applies to all mods including you Jr. Troopa. Next time, give me a warning if I spam or bait, and I promise you no more trouble from me.
Tessie, I know your afraid to strike because you'll hurt your "friends" well, either give out more warnings, take a digi break, or when you do strike a post, forget who it is and STRIKE IT!
Plastic, same with you. Except stop being so biased. Treat everyone the same and all. I don't hate you Plastic, but I don't like you either. I think its best if you resigned as well or take a break. That'll help the community a lot.
Jr. Troopa, all I have to say is give out more warnings. Your doing a good job, and you do seem like you look at reports and take care of it right away. But first time warning please. You do strike a lot. And i herd u striekd a question lol. Some people also thinks you strike without looking at the possibilities, but thats them. I personally don't care about that.
SA: Your too over protective of your mod status and to your "friends" Your also mean. I saw your prison post, and I can dig it up anytime I want. I personally think your a bit biased too, but not as much as Plastic.
Lord Crump: Your excellent IMO. I have seen you being 100% unbiased. Your Francis 2.0. In other words, keep up the good work.
Goomba: Yesterday, you gave out more warnings than strikes, or so I heard. You also care about the site and your friends. And UNLIEK SOME people you actually understood my problems and why I snapped and went mad a few weeks ago. Your the only one that understood actually (except Poison I think, and Frozen perhaps) But you knew the most of it. I didn't change at all and you knew. I was only depressed and mad at the time, and I promised you I won't do it again and that I would take my IRL problems outside. Sorry Goomba D: I'm currently trying my best to be the old SSG, but apparently noone wants that yet. I don't remember the old ssg and what was he like, perhaps you can help me on AIM or something? Or maybe you and Crump can help me on Steam chat like old times?

I am only stating my current point of view and this has nothing to do with me changing, which I'm not. I'm still trying to be the old ssg, but I need answers. Alright, well anyway, I read the topic title but then the initial post placed its primary focus on TSSG3 and Plastic. The thread name's kind of suggestive that the opinion held is that all of the Moderators are unjust. Well. ANYWAY!
If I'm unjust, or I'm not considered such a good Mod, I'd like to know what I've done wrong or what's held me back from that positive regard, because you know, I DO care about the site. And I try to do what I can while I'm driven by that motive! |

I think one thing I'm going to do from now onward, though, is to respect my care for this site not only through my enforcement of the rules, but also by taking on a more active role in the participation of making suggestions for this site, both in terms of its features and the community. Then I'll be even more awesome, but more importantly, this site will be too! |

The mods tell us they can't haddle their job properly so they ask us to report all we can. Well I have been reporting things I know are wrong, and nothing has been done. I've gotten in trouble for a post where I wanted hugs, but people who like orange soda and only dee-colon in posts get off completely scotch free. I'm sorry, Tessie, but a friend can only back a person up for so long before they finally get faced with the facts that you are a biased mod, and I have been faced with them. In fact, Francine even did a way better job. She striked me even though we were friends and I didn't see it as anything but her doing her job, and her doing it right.
I even PM'd Tessie to make sure he wasn't just ignoring it; Well he was in a sense, he was leaving it to the other mods to decide. If you're leaving it for someone else, then you obviously cannot do your job.
I know you said you'd never resign, but you know, maybe it's time. Don't see this as a troll telling you to gtfo, but as a caring member who's watched you evolve into something I don't like. Let's face it; you're biased, you can't dish out all the laws in the way that you need to, you flame people just as they flame back, and you present yourself as someone who's really unexperienced. You don't have to leave, or anything like that; but you resigning would probably let you gain a lot of respect that you've lost over the months. And look at it as another experiance for someone new to rise up, someone who is going to take charge, and fill in your shoes in ways that you never will be able to. Ever.
Same for you Plastic. I think you've passed your prime, and it is also time for you to give it to someone else.

As far as I can tell, recently, I haven't been 'biased' on strikes in a long time.
Now, what I'm wondering right now is why people complain so much about how much each individual mod does compared to the others.
If the same result comes up in the end, then it doesn't matter who did it, unless someone is doing literally nothing and letting the others do their work for them. If someone is abusing powers for personal gain, or targeting a certain person with strikes and jailing because of a grudge, then it's perfectly fair to question their position. But, in simple terms of someone striking a bit more than the others or insigificant things like that, it shouldn't matter at all.
If the same result comes up in the end, then nobody should be complaining.
Strikes are going to be handed out anonymously soon, and there is no way in HELL anybody will be able to complain about who does more after that.

I've seen you post in a spam topic WITHOUT striking it. Maybe it was the person who made the topic? Perhaps that could be it...hmm.

I indeed gave out more warnings. I believe that if someone does something minor, they do not deserve to be punished badly. I think that if one person does something wrong they might do it again, one warning is all that is needed. It does the same as a strike: except people still respect you, and because of that respect, they are less likely to spite you. Indeed I care about the site, I always have. That is why I so desperately wanted to be a moderator. I wanted to nurture and help the site. And friendship is the thing I hold closest to my heart. I am a very understanding, and caring person, but trust me, sometimes its a curse as well. If there's an argument, I usually see both sides of it and understand it. I usually try to appease both sides, but its harder than it sounds. Also: dun apologize. I know you're going though some crag in your life. We evolve over time, and as hard as we try, we can never go back. I still yearn for the days when I was a crazy, bubbly Goomba. But sadly, I evolved out of that. But evolution is not something to be feared. It makes you stronger, it is nature itself! If birds never evolved to have different diets from the other, than they would be dead. If I hadn't changed, I would never been appointed a mod. You just have to wait until your depression goes away. You will be out of your cocoon and you will soar, more beautiful than before. Something good will happen, trust me. Another thing, I will be getting a mic for my birthday, so I will actually be able to talk and not be static again. |
